I bought this tarp as it is the cheapest for its size on the market. I've used it to extend pop ups and as a stand alone shelter for cooking, eating, keeping the kids out of the sun etc. The poles are too short - they need a couple of extra sections really so I use extra king poles to raise it up. I've also used it as a bivi and shelter when hiking as it packs down small and light. Overall great value - just needs extra poles to make it perfect.

Like one of the previous reviewers I bought this to use as a canopy/awning for my camper but I just tied it onto the far side of my camper (wing mirror and back grill) and put the 2 legs up at the front and secured the whole thing with the guy ropes. It does the job fine although not great in strong winds.

I find its great for cooking under when its wet and provides a good covered area between our tent and the van.

Great little Tarp. 101 ways you could set this up. When the weather was nice I had it set up as a sun shelter like the picture above with the table under it. When the wind got up I took one section out of the poles and pegged each side to the floor making a very good wind shield. Then using an extra set of poles I lifted one side up to give me a shelter and a wind shield in one (see my uploaded pic). I now have bought a second tarp to link them together. We sat under ours in wind and rain, nice and sheltered and dry. Great for the money, cant wait to use it again to see how else I could set it up.

Bought this with the view to adapting it to use as an awning with our camper.

I bought some awning channel and stitched it on therefore enabling it to attach to the van using a figure-of-eight awning fastening (see submitted picture).

Really pleased with the result, works well and is a great awning for a very reasonable price.

Bought this to provide extra living space with our 3 man tunnel tent. Pitched it so that it covered the tent door and extended outwards. Marvellous! we were disappointed that there were only 2 poles but you can use walking pole turned upside down as the eyelets in the tarp are large enough to fit the tips. We take it everywhere now. Great stuff!.

Used it on summer camp with the scouts this year as a shelter out of the rain, and somewhere to sit under in the evenings. Wonderful piece of kit kept us dry. Also made a good quick volleyball net on the beach!

At £14.99 in 2006, this was probably the most useful bit of kit I have ever bought. Slept under it in my bivi bag one night on the local moors and it kept the rain off. Have used it in the local park as an instant stand when watching my nephew playing sunday football in a monsoon, much to the envy of those getting soaked. Went car camping last year with my sister and it made a useful undercover kitchen area.

Has endless uses and at about a third of the cost of other manufacturers' tarps.

Bought this to use as a rain cover for cooking area, or as shade for eating.

Its really versatile and easy to put up, its very lightweight and also packs down really small.

We used it as a canopy on our StarCamper 5 and it worked well giving us a covered seating area when it was raining. We have also used is to cover the washing while we were in France.

My only criticism is that the poles that are supplied are not long enough, so we can't pitch it tall enough to walk under, and it would be handy if it came with two more poles as then there would be even more ways to pitch it.
