As previous owners have stated, its a massive tent for sure with plenty of head room. It's relatively stable in high winds and didn't leak when we had rain, although it was 'regular' all day bl**dy long rain rather than a heavy downpour. I manage to put it up myself but would do need two in anything more than a light breeze. We're very pleased with it (got it new from ebay for 80 quid), recommended.

Excellent tent for camping on a budget with 3 young children.

The children waited so long for us to get a tent. Now we have one they want to go camping all the time.

Taking our children camping in our Bergen 8 tent is more fun than taking them abroad.(not that we've been abroad) And a whole lot cheaper for us.

There is so much room inside our 3 young children thinks its fantastic. You are not on top of each other, everyone of us have enough space.

Withstands the weather very well.

Overall an excellent family tent.

Just got back from Manor Farm Campsite in Norfolk (nr Cromer), stayed for 3 nights from the 25th May 2008. The reason I mention this is that you might be aware of the state of the weather over that period. If I say it rained - very hard - all night - for two nights, one of which was a 45 minute thunder storm, that would be an understatement. The Bergen 8 held up very well for a budget tent. I paid 75 quid for mine brand new off ebay. It did leak, but it only has a 1500mm hydrostatic head rating, and it rained a lot - and heavily. The bedrooms stayed dry though, it was just the 'living' room that suffered some drips. So, I'm very happy with the money I spent.

It's a very spacious tent but I wouldn't say it would sleep eight with any level of comfort. There were 2 adults and 2 kids (5 and 3) and that was comfortable with plenty of storage space - which is what you need with 2 young-uns.

It's also very stable in high winds - and can easily be put up by one man while his wife and kids go exploring. The instructions were completely mis-leading though, but if you throw them away and put the bits of the tent out, it's all very self explanatory. Easier to put up than a dome tent.

I suspect that if camping becomes a more regular occurence for us though I will invest in a tent with a higher hydrostatic head rating.

Have just come back from a weekend away using our new tent. Plenty of room for us (family of 4). We stayed in north yorkshire, where it was very windy! Pleased with the way the tent stood up against the wind, although it didnt rain so didnt find out if it leaked!

This is our first tent and although many people snubbed the idea of buying a lesser named tent we are over the moon with it. We managed to pitch it easily, for first timers and were really surprised at the room. The bedrooms are huge, we fitted a travel cot and double bed in one room with ample space left for luggage. The height meant my 6.2' hubby didn't have to bend down and the large living area provided loads of room for all our kitchen equipment, table and chairs etc. We will be keeping this tent for some years to come and for the ebay bargain price of £100 it can't be beaten on value.

Very easy to put up tent, plenty of room for all the family.

Our tent withstood bad weather condition at water gate bay last year where others collapsed.

I will not change this tent for any other I am over the moon with it.
