We love this tent. We were 'fair weather' campers until buying this tent and decided that to get value for money, we would need to use this whatever the weather.Which we have done.

It has kept us dry through a week of heavy rain and also blustery conditions. Being fully sewn in means that we have not had a problem with drafts.

We have also bought the footprint, the carpet and the extension canopy. This is an absolute godsend as it means you can do everything inside, avoiding any rain and wind.

The tent is really bright (white canvas over the living area) and roomy - it has accommodated 6 of us really well and we have comfortably sat round a table inside the tent for meals etc.

I would highly recommend this tent to anyone - even novices - as it is very easy to put up.

A point to note is that at the top of this page, the diagram of sleeping arrangements is not accurate. The tent sleeps 4 people in each side.

Bought my one as an ex-demonstrator from a local camping shop for £100.

Was a little disappointed when I put it up (they had packed it away wet) so it was a bit smelly.

Seeing as I hadn't put it up before, it was up in half an hour.

Gave it a good wipe down and a good wash in side and I'm now well pleased.

For four of us to holiday in there is tons of space, taking it down a piece of cake, take all the poles out, fold the ground sheet in two and simply roll it up.

Looking forward to our next weekend away.

This is our second season using this tent and our opinion of it has improved a bit as we're getting used to it. We love the space it offers. We have now got pitching down to less than 1/2 an hour (in the dark!).The trick is to slacken off all the straps when you take it down!

The only problem we have encountered is that the partitions do not fit securely in the sleeping pods, they need velcro or a zip to secure them at the bottom and sides. We still haven't got the carpet and footprint but will report on them when we do!

Great tent. Took 2 of us about 30 mins to put up, and about the same to pack away (good weather). Nice and roomy, which is important to us (my husband is 6ft). It was nice to have the extra room inside when the weather wasn't great. Separate 'rooms' for the 2 kids was also good! Colour coded poles mean putting it up is easy. Don't think I could do it by myself though. Wouldn't use if for overnight breaks, but great for longer holidays.

Tent is very spacious, easily accommodates family of three plus two dogs. Pitching has proved to be easy. We haven't encountered any severe weather when camping with it so can't comment on weather-proofness. The ventilation system is particularly good in warm weather. The only criticisms we have are that the tent is heavy - you have to be able to get the car close to the pitch. We haven't yet managed to get the whole tent packed back into the bag - compartments and poles have to go separately. We are planning on getting the footprint groundsheet and carpet.

We are new to camping and looked at several tents before choosing this one. Being novices we needed one that was quick and easy to put up and this seemed to tick all the boxes. We are a family of 5 and liked the fact the two bedroom areas are split by the living area in the middle. The middle living area of the tent is bright and airy due to the lighter blue fabric and the large windows. There are lots of storage pockets on the bedroom pods which came in really handy. It is a great size and provides ample room for a family of five. We were a little concerned that Royal was not as popular as some of its competitors but have to say we have not been disappointed with our choice. We have just returned from a week camping in Wales and in-between sunshine we experienced heavy rain and wind which the tent withstood very well. We also purchased the groundsheet footprint, carpet and side extension which certainly added additional comfort. The side extension was a great area to cook in and minimised mud being walked into the living area of the tent during the bad weather. We would certainly recommend this tent and are now looking forward to next camping trip.

We've now used this tent twice and love it. Last outing we encountered some quite wet and windy weather and the tent hardly moved and no sign of any leaks! Loads of room to entertain the kids when stuck inside due to inclement weather and much warmer than other tents I've slept in. Also easy enough to put up even in breezy weather although was quite glad of assistance from an additional adult when the wind picked up!

Used for 8 nights for a family of 4. Bought to replace previous Royal Cannes six berth. Easy to put up - plenty of space. Like the zip hole for electric hookup. Useful pockets and central loop for hanging a light was useful. Weather was not the best, but size of tent meant it wasn't a problem. Would recommend for a family of 4 - maybe even 6.

I bought this tent last weekend so am yet to go anywhere with it. I needed to be able to put it up with my 8 year old daughter as hubbie can't always get away with us. We had a trial run in the garden (which was only just big enough)and I can't believe how easy it was, even in such a confined space. We can't wait to road test it on Tuesday! There is loads of space in it for the 4 of us so should be ok even on the occasional wet day!

We have just got this tent and although we have not gone away with it yet we have put it up in the garden. It took 2 of us around 30minutes which is good for the first time as this should get quicker. It looks great has plenty of room for our family of 4 and has some good features. Will post back when we have been away. 10 out of 10 so far.
