Just returned for North Devon where we camped on a very exposed site. This tent was easy to put up and had great space for 2 adults. However I couldn't work out how six people with all their stuff could have lived comfortably in it. The first four days we had torrential rain and very strong winds. This tent was fantastic, dry and steady and made us very confident on our first camping trip.

The floor space is great and we had two friends over for dinner when we were able to cook and sit quite comfortably. We erected the door canopy which did stop the rain with the doors open. The only down side for us is that although the canopy does it's job a larger outside space would have been better for storing wet shoes, wet dog etc. Maybe the designers could come up with one? All in all very pleased with this good looking airy, light tent.

Brilliant tent for the money. Acres of floor space. Good windows and good ventilation. Easy to erect, after a couple of practices. Well made, and some nice touches. Only a couple of minor 'cost cutting' niggles. The only major flaw, as previously noted, is the tendency for rain to enter when the doors are open. This is easily cured by slinging up any Universal type side canopy, which fits, despite the odd angle of the front doors.

In summary, an excellent tent, an unusual shape which both attracts attention and gives plenty of space, and despite its height, is strong in windy conditions.

Thoroughly recommended.

We bought our tent last summer. Just like all the other reviewers, we loved it except for the one thing, when it poured from the heavens as it does in Scotland and the kids were in and out, the rain just flooded in the doors and soaked the place. We have been trawling the internet for a canopy that will give us a bit more protection from the rain plus extra room on the outside to cook and sit under. So when I was told that there was a new canopy for this particular tent I thought great until I seen it.

So what I'm looking for is any ideas as to what we can do or has anyone seen a larger canopy that will attach to this tent.

Our experience is very much like that of previous reviewer. Our family set up is two adults, one with very limited mobility, and one 9 year old. Just spent our first weekend away under canvas in over 20 years, our first ever as a family of three, and this tent made it a joy. Not quite a 10/10 tho.

We bought this tent mostly for the amount of sheer space inside it even when the bedrooms are up. You don't have to have both rooms up if you don't want. The windows at the front give an incredible amount of light, right up till dusk, yet the bedrooms stayed dark enough that we weren't awake at the crack of dawn. The headroom is fantastic, about 6'6 throughout most of its length, even the entrance to the bedrooms, so no crawling around or having to duck. It meant that in the wet and windy weather which abounded in Suffolk this weekend, we could cook inside - but it would have been much much better with a porch, or even the option of one. Also the doors slope outwards, so that if you unzip the top in the wet, a good portion of the floor inside gets very wet, which again a porch would solve.

Before buying, a bit of research suggested that this would be an easy tent for hubby to erect on his own or with minimal help, which it in fact turned out to be, despite the wind trying to inflate it like a balloon! We found one elastic supplied snapped, and one toggle elastic wasn't sewn in properly, but otherwise excellent construction quality. The poles themselves are covered in almost completely so aren't exposed to the elements either, and a spare portion of pole was supplied as standard. The sewn-in ground sheet was most definitely a bonus, but also had a slight drawback, in that the entrances all have a substantial lip to step over, great for keeping weather and insects out, not so good for kids to run out of, as ours found out, in fact we all tripped over it at one point or another. But there's even a tiny zip in it for putting out leads for an electric hook up if you choose.

We had intended to possibly keep one bedroom down for a storage area, and all use the larger room. However, I need one of those jumbo 50cm high inflatable beds (which was also very comfy!) and this took up half the available room. On paper it shouldn't have been a problem, of course reality is never so kind. But even so, we had plenty of room available for our needs, kitchen, table, 3 full sized directors chairs, larder etc etc. Oh - and I'd recommend the fitted carpet too, no matter how wet it was outside, it was wonderfully waterproof, and helped insulate the area brilliantly.

In short, a great tent for people wanting/needing loads of space, great headroom, superb amounts of daylight no matter what the weather, a good cosy night's sleep, and easy to put up. Didn't break the bank either, we saved nearly £50 off our local retailer by buying online.

We bought this tent after viewing several but couldn't believe the deal we got for the floorspace. The tent has a double and a single - I wouldn't want to sleep with 6 in it unless they were all small or very friendly! It is also very easy to put up with two people especially given the size, the outer goes up first and the inners hang on easy to use hooks and eyes, meaning you can get your tent up dry. We survived torrential rain in the lake district without so much as a drip.
The floor space is excellent for our chairs, table and kitchen unit plus space for our three year old to play in. In fine weather there are four doors to open and windows at the front to open, making this a very light and airy living space. Also the sewn in groundsheet is an excellent idea keepng out weather and bugs, also making the tent easy to lay out and erect.
The only downsides are a lack of a porch and the fact it is only 3000mm hydrostatic head. However we took this into account when buying and it was a trade off with the other features, If you are a small family we can't fault this tent
