We've just used our tent for the first time and it was our first time camping.
We really liked our Evolution 600 for the following reasons:
Large living area, large bedroom was a good size with a double airbed there was still lots of room either side.
Smaller bedroom provided a good area to store stuff and keep the dogs away from things like food!
The front pointed part is great for the table as this meant that the main area where you can stand up isn't obstructed.
Like the other reviews, the only thing to note is the lack of a canopy over the door - as the side slopes, if it rains and the door is open, the inside does get a bit wet unless you zip it up. A built in porch or canopy would be a good design feature although we note there is an add-on one available which we may consider. Other than that, as virgin campers we found it easy to pitch (after only one practice at home) we pitched it in 30 mins. Roll on our next trip!

Just used our evo 600 for the first time due to bad weather in 2008. I think it everything you would want, its roomy, light and lovely to look at. BUT the only down side is there isn't a mosquito net on the doors and no canopy/porch, which would have made this tent perfect. The windows let a lot of light in and you can sit without light long after the sun has gone down. Plenty of ventilation, but fiddly putting in the bedroom pods.

This tent is the best tent I have purchased, it The only little downside to this tent is the doors. Because they are on a sloping side when it rains, just inside can get pretty wet as there is no shelter around the doors, that is my only quibble. They have bought out a new canopy for the evolution range, but I don't like it as the material in the middle that holds both canopies each side covers the window in the top.
It is easy to put up and very spacious inside. 2 doors either side, plenty of vents and plenty of windows, you can easily fit a double lilo in the big bedroom and still have loads of room, also you can fit a double lilo in the little room, this does go wall to wall though, but is just for my two boys to sleep on. Very spacious in the living area, my husband is 6'2 and still has room for his morning stretches. I have just purchased the inside foot print for it and I would not change my tent for anything. Will look at purchasing another evolution tent when they have got round to bringing one out with a decent sewn in porch on. Come on sunncamp get your heads together and bring one out with a decent Shelter or porch on the doors.

The Old Lichfield Challenger XL5 needed to be upgraded so started the search for something similar but with a sewn in ground sheet, was originally going to buy the Pathfinder 400. I had seen the Evo 6 in the brochure thought it looked great (which it does) but thought it would not be very big (@'m 6ft 1) Went to the local outlet which had the afore mentioned pathfinder insitu for me to have a look at, amazingly the Evo was there as well so I could compare them both. Needless to say the evo is plenty big enough (it's huge) Bought online as I got a deal with the footprint & the carpet (£314 the lot)
1st time out last weekend set up about 15mins with the help of my girlfriend & the hindrance of the dog. Very cosy with the carpet 'Camping in slippers Great' Contrary to an earlier review I found the footprint matched the overall layout of the tent very well, perfect for finding the most level area before erecting the Evo.
1st night got a bit windy & some heavy rain, no leaks & tent never budged an inch. Main bedroom managed a double & single airbed side by side easily with room to spare. Ventilation very good so no condensation in the morning. Plenty of pockets to store things maps magazines etc. Only slight niggle is the use of those stupid plastic guy rope runners I think they must be made of Teflon as they never grip very well but as nearly all manufacturers use them these days you can't really blame Sunncamp for following suit. Overall very impressed & so were others on the site when it was all setup. If you like the shape then go for it as this is one hell of a tent for the money.

Bought our tent in 2008 and used it five times last year. It has been exposed to every type of British weather and comes out with flying colours. We found it easy and quick to erect (25 minutes) and there is plenty of space in the sleeping areas and the living space is bright and airy. I would recommend this tent to anyone.

Used my Evolution 600 twice in 2008 in Cornwall.
We had some awful weather, with rain and strong winds.
Tent was excellent in the wind, very sturdy.
Would recommend this tent to anyone.
Might even upgrade to Evolution 600DL to take advantage of the bigger living space

Used for first time in September. Found easy to put up (about 25 mins). Only problem was condensation dripping through mesh of inner tent during first night. Had to move bed round other way. Plenty of room.

Excellent tent no drafts because of the fully sewn in ground sheet. Never had a leak I have used my tent 9 times over the last couple of years and no probs. Easy to assemble but being a family of 5 the living space at the front is limited

Have this tent, the footprint groundsheet and the carpet.]
The footprint doesn't really match the tent, me and the gf struggle erecting it, due to its size, and as the poles dont go in any of the corners we find it hard to adjust.
On our first use, one of the pins snapped and our third use ended with a shattered pole(thankfully they supply a spare).
We have problems with it in the wind, as the poles seem to collapse in, and on reading the instructions supplied with the tent, Sunncamp state the tent is for normal conditions(like we ever get normal conditions in the uk)
The tent is great though, I can stand up in it, there's plenty of room and the carpet makes it cosy. We have had some water leakage, mainly due to the poles collapsing in when its windy. Hopefully we will master the art of putting it up and keeping it up!

We took this one away to Wales on what must be the wettest holiday. We had strong winds & there were several flooded caravan awnings, but we were totally dry & kept really warm. Would firmly recommend it. Can't wait to take it out again we absolutely trust it now
