I love this tent. But I do have to agree with previous reviews this is not a 3 man tent. Its a average sized two man tent. Its really easy to put up with the outer going up first which is great if its raining. Its a really sturdy tent and can withstand most British weathers! Ive used it for back packing in the lakes and as yet havent found a fault with it. Its lightweight and when split between two people its even lighter! Ive rated it 8 / 10 due to the fact that it is advertised as a 3 man tent but otherwise its faultless.

Very lightweight and waterproof but not particularly windproof - it stays up but the wind gets in! 3 people may be able to lie down in this tent in sleeping bags but that's about it - they can't sit upright and there is no room at all for any kit apart from boots and six boots is pushing it.

A good backpacking tent for 2 but not for 3.

I bought this tent in 2012 to replace my Vango TBS micro 250. What a disappointment.

I primarily use my tent for backpacking and was attracted by the weight (2.7KG) and the 5000mm hydrostatic head.

What disappoints me about this tent is mainly the amount of mesh that comprises the inner tent, this makes the tent very draughty. There are two large mesh areas which cannot be sealed and are perfectly aligned with the vents in the fly, when camping on Dartmoor in March, the breeze is very noticeable.

The boot locker area is handy and for some strange reason has a small coverable extra mesh area, WHY? Aren't the other mesh areas enough?

Two doors are handy. However, due to the shaped inner, the second door is unusable in wet weather. Rather this area was a second porch than trying to make this 2 man tent a 3 man.

The tent itself is pretty waterproof, no problems there. However it is prone to condensation in cold weather (but so are any tents with nylon flies).

It is not really a 3 man tent. Two men, 1 dog and 2 large rucksacks and contents pretty much fills the space available.

Pretty quick and easy to pitch, on your own or with a partner. Very stable when erected, the Vango tension band system helps a lot.

Great tent for warm weather, don't buy one if you want to camp in temperatures in single figures.

I bought this tent mainly for touring on my motorbike. It is never in a month of sundays a three man tent. Two man tent at a squeeze.For me on my own it is perfect,extremely lightweight, folds up in small pack.Fortunately I don't know (yet)how good it will withstand the rain and wind.Very easy to erect, about 10mins maximum.Having a door on each side is a good idea.

I have just got back from my first trip using the Banshee 300. The tent was mainly chosen for use for motorbike touring. I managed to fit myself, girlfriend and motorbike kit into the tent no problem. The storage area at the side was useful for storing panniers, helmets etc. The boot locker was useful for storing exactly that. There's no ground sheet for the boot locker or storage areas so I keep my kit in bin bags. On one of the nights I used the tent it rained really hard with high winds. Tent held up really well with no leakage. The tents low profile also helped with not suffering any wind damage.

I've used the latest model with 2 doors either side. And I own the smaller 200 Model. This tent is perfect, Light weight, compact and easy to erect and strike within 10mins. It copes with heavy rain and keep cool in hot temperatures with the additional inner opening at top.

This is in effect a 2Man tent. Allowing for gear and general personal space. It will fit 3 at a squeeze so long as you don't mind the odd elbow or foot.

If your looking for something more compact and light go for the 200 model, But you may find 2ppl a tight squeeze with 400mm lost in width, nearly no overhand for the door and a drop of over 200mm in height. (interesting to sit up in, but not uncomfortable) Which says a lot for the 300 model.

Both are equally well made, strong, light and durable.

Very light and easy to carry , so was ideal when I took the kids on their first cycle camping trip. Dad and 2 children fitted fine. I think three adults would find it a bit too cosy as it is too small for 3 full length mats under the sleeping bags. Also, the side entrance does mean if the person furthest from the door needs to get out in the night everyone gets woken up. However, I'm being really picky. Very simple to put up and you can tell it's been well thought out. Excellent value for money.

I own the old model. Wish I owned the new as two doors would really help! We are two giant adults and we have plenty of room. Its incredibly warm, cosy and dry. Have used in the snow and frost and been warm. Plenty of ventilation cuts down on condensation. Boot locker is really handy. Surprising number of pockets inside. Easy to put up but takes a bit of practice to avoid the outer sagging. Plenty of adjusters help, especially if you pitch on a hill. We've found it light enough for a cycle tour, there are bits you can leave out of the pack and you can split it between two. 3 berth is pushing it, I would say two adults and a small child or 3 youths max.

Hi,I've had this tent a couple of months (rrp Ł110),can't really find any faults, it certainly withstood a torrential downpour without leaks. The rear flap and inner tent rear opening are great for ventilation. I've pitched it fly first and all in one, both quick and easy. Only gripe is the industry wide obligatory one:- Why call it a three man tent? Surely the industry must know we all have to buy a 'man' or two larger than we want.
