An excellent hard-wearing tent. We took this tent with us when we went camping, both to a conventional campsite and also to one just below Scarfell Pike. The tent survived the hardest of all the weather thrown at it- even when the rain water was at the hight of the sleeping area, it still kept the rain out! Putting a nice grin on our faces when we could hear other people saying how wet they got that night.

Have bought this tent this season, used in Scotland and North East. Had a bit of rain and strong wind and it has been fine. Room for two people. Agree about the groundsheet being thin. Need to keep outer tent taught and away from inner tent or else you get water ingress. TBS can allow water to track into inner tent.

This is the second Equinox I've owned. I'm a woman and go camping on my own; I find the tent very easy to put up and pack away and like the previous comments, feel very safe in it whatever the weather throws at it. The only reason I've not given it 10/10 is because it's necessary to have another groundsheet underneath the inner because it can let in water during wet weather. Because I'm on my own, there's loads of room and can easily fit in a chair and table plus all my gear (and there's lots!). I would have no hesitation recommending this tent.

We have used this tent now for all of last season and the beginning of this season and on the whole I’d certainly recommend it to couples for short breaks of less than a week or so.

The tent is easy to put up and doesn’t take long at all (I confess I haven’t tried to put it up on my own but I suspect it would be easy enough). Some things to watch out for when erecting; the elasticised straps holding up the living space can make getting the poles through tricky, seating the poles can be tough if the tensioning straps haven’t been released properly and be sure to peg out the tent at the seats as you put the poles in. We find this is the most effective way of getting the shape right. For its size this tent is very good in bad weather and we’re equally impressed with its packed size and weight. The supplied poles are brilliantly strong but the pegs bend even in soft ground – I suppose this is the trade-off for them being so light but if possible it might be advisable to pack a couple of spares if possible. The guy line also looks like it might fray in the near future so I’ve bought some spare. Nicely the spare pegs and stuff all fit into the bag easily. The tent also comes with a really good repair kit.

We too have noticed a lot of condensation particularly if the night has been cold. It took us some time to figure out how arrange things properly so that we could sit in the main part of the tent in windy conditions rather than have to lie in the bags at 5pm! You can even get a pair of chairs in if you’re careful about buying small/light enough ones but I’d recommend getting a decent ground sheet if you intend to do this.

All in all this is a great tent for two, three adults would be a bit of a push I think.

I have owned one of these tents for a couple of years now. I go camping with my wife and 3 year old child. We use this tent for short weekend trips away. We have been both unlucky and lucky with this tent. The unlucky part is that every time we seem to use the tent the weather is appalling. Lucky in the fact the tent takes whatever is thrown at it. The worse weather was at a friends BBQ where our tent was the only one left standing along with an Outwell tent. Pitching of this tent is easy, can be done by one person. With two people only takes about 20 minutes. The living space is a bonus for a tent of this weight and size, plenty of room for your gear.

I only have two criticisms of this tent. 1/ In hot weather the tent can get very warm, I think this is true of most tents this size. 2/ As 3 of us use this tent and the weather has been usually wet we have had high levels of condensation.

On the whole we like this tent and would recommend it.

Note - Would be a bit of a squeeze for 3 adults.
