Bought this in June, when stock finally came in.

As other posters have commented, extremely easy to erect.

A day and night of heavy rain didn't see large pools of water that some others have mentioned. Yes there were small areas of water round the beams in the porch but as we'd been cooking inside and walking in with wet feet, only to be expected that a little bit of water collects at the lowest points when you have an integrated groundsheet. Certainly nothing unexpected.

Some nice features certainly.

However, the build quality of the outer itself left a bit to be desired. The porch section, however you pegged it out and tightened the guy ropes, was wonky and left ridges where water collected. In time this is going to let water seep through. The porch front entrance also was out of line - the zip clearly was mugh higher on one side of the base. You'd put up with this for a Ł50 festival tent, but not close on Ł500.

If these issues weren't present I'd be very happy with it. As it is I've returned mine to Yeomans for a direct replacement.

Thought the following would be useful - sent to me by Yeomans from Vango - apparently they are aware there is a problem and have found that a lot of the seam leak/burst beam problems have been caused by overinflating the beams - the latest advice for the entire Infinty range is to inflate to 3psi NOT 5psi, the add a further puff or two if desired but under no circs to go above 4 psi.

They also say each beam is to be guided gently into an upright arch whilst inflating. Thanks to Yeomans who appear to have sent this info to all their customers.

I have used my infinity 800 once, (I know this is the 400 blog but applies across range)in light rain, and luckily have had no issues (hence 10/10) BUT not tried it in torrential rain yet (!). I'm afraid it will be going back if it leaks despite the new pitching instructions - keeping fingers crossed!

We bought this tent a copy of weeks ago, when the tent arrived we put it up in the garden, it went up fine and was quick and easy for one person to do, unfortunately the middle beam deflated and we also noticed a rip in the bag. We called Springfield camping and they were very apologetic and arranged for another tent to be sent out and ours collected. This tent didnt appear to have any problems we camped it for a weekend with no problems but it didnt rain.

We went camping again on Friday night and unfortunately had to come home on Saturday morning after woken up being dripped on. The rain hadnt been heavy but had been constant, the rain didnt appear to have come through the seams but through the material and had collected on the inner sleeping pod and then was dripping through on to us, when we got up and checked the rest of the tent there were puddles of water at the bottom of 4 of the beams also. This was quite clearly not condensation which I know you have to expect a little of.

I was very disappointed as I loved the tent, but having had 2 tents with issues we have taken the tent back and exchanged it for a Vango Samara which I am hoping we aren't going to have any problems with as I am a huge Vango fan. Springfield camping have been excellent and the customer service is without fault.

I am hoping these tents and reviews are a minority as the idea is fantastic.

As I am all up for innovative products, I took a chance and purchased this tent two weeks ago on the back of some very average reviews. As soon as we got it home we left it up overnight in the garden, by the morning one of the tubes had deflated. Got straight onto the vendor (Yeomans of Northampton) who contacted Vango. To Vango's credit they did send out a replacement tube by courier overnight, but not good for a brand new tent to have such an obvious fault. Yeomans have said they were unable to find a fault with the original tube, which I find hard to believe.

Used the tent for the first time last weekend in a very wet and windy Normandy. We tried the original tube first (which Yeomans had tested) but it deflated after about 4 hours so lucky we had the replacement!

We had a bit of leakage around the side window via the tie up cords. Did not get any water around the tubes and we did have a lot of rain!

We found the side door to be unusable due to the zip being too tight around the bend of the door, even with the guy ropes loosened.

Easy to put up and down. But then that is what it has been designed for.

Dear Gary01 & Roysten, I am a Director of Vango and am very concerned to read about the problems you have had with your Vango AirBeam. At Vango we take quality extremely seriously and it disappoints me to hear that you have had these problems. It will be of no consolation to you, but we have been tracking the returns and complaint of Vango AirBeam since launch and I am proud to say that the number of problems are very few. However, any fault is unacceptable and I would like to investigate further. I would really appreciate it if you could send me your contact detail and where you bought the tents so we can track them in the system and ensure they are inspected fully so that we can identify where we got it wrong. We have an Infinity 400 with a forward extension and we had exactly the same problem as Gary01, pooling of water at the base of the airbeams. However, the pooling was not limited to just the main tent, as the extension suffered the same problem. The rain was saturation-style, but the tent just could not cope at all, the seams around the side door also leaked badly. We did not use the side door as we had a forward extension so it remained closed during the whole camping weekend.

It must be said that the tent and extension went up in minutes and also went down pretty quick too.

Like Gary01, we took video of the leak, but the seller still insisted on checking the tent's waterproofness for themselves, finding no fault apparently. They have offered to refund our money after we insisted.

Overall, it went up and down really quickly, but leaked really badly, hence the extremely low score.

I would only recommend this tent and extension once modifications to the watertightness have been made and proven to work effectively.

I agree - it is very easy to put up. When I took mine down, I made sure the doors were left open to help expel the air - after two folds from out to in and then one final fold, I rolled my body over the length of the tent to expel the air, rolled it up as tight as I could and the tent went into the bag no probs.

Unfortunately, I can only give the tent I had a rating of 5 as after only one nights use in fairly constant, moderate to heavy rainfall, I found in the morning that each base of the airbeams had developed pools of water - quite substantial pools in two bases. I took photo's and a video of the pools and of the dripping water drops coming in from the window stitching - needles to say I immediately took it back to Yeomans and decided to exchange for a Outwell Bear Lake 4. (which was my original choice a couple of weeks ago) upon seeing the video, there was no quibble and things have been sorted quickly and efficiently.

Please be mindful that this was one tent out of probably thousands and we all know how we can get a bad 'un in any batch of anything - and in my case this was a manufacturing fault - hopefully others will be very happy with what is otherwise, a cracking wee tent.

I have just put this tent up, so not yet been camping in it.

But it is really easy to erect, just peg the 4 corners out, then inflate the beams,then peg out all over.

The down side is cannot get this back in the case.

Think it is because I let it down with the inner tent inside, so looks like the inner tent has to come out, when taking the tent down.

Will put it back up when the weather improves, and see if this does make a difference
