Been camping in the highlands with our new air beam and we love it. We've had gales, thunderstorms, torrential rain and absolutely no issues with our air beam and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.
Zips can stick at times but only really a niggle.
We had some trepidation having read some of the reviews but we really have had no issues. Beams to 3 psi in general but we made slightly higher when windy

Well what can I say.As a disabled person it took just 10mins in total to erect the tent. As instructed we did not fully inflate the beams ( due to the swelling of the beams in hot weather)A couple off days later we had the chance to test the tent in heavy rain.On the day in question it rained non stop, very heavy showers, the last tent we had was a Sunncamp Evolution, which did let the rain in via the seams. After a day out we returned to find everything dry, not a trace off damp everywhere!
We also had a night off heavy winds and yet again it stood up to the task. So I am VERY impressed with the Vango.
After reading the reviews on packing away, we even managed to get it in the bag first time with room to spare!
The only problem we have encountered was the avl off the extension, we managed to get the footprint, carpet (after a very long wait) but after an e-mail to Vango the next shipment of the extension canopy will be next year!
All in all an excellent tent that I would recommend to everyone A+ excellent product.

Had the tent for a two week holiday in France - went up very easily, and found the living and sleeping area fine for us (2 adults and 2 kids under 6.
Zips were a bit of a pain, especially with kids, as they do catch very easily.
Problems - having gone away and pitched the tent according to the instructions I was very disappointed that 3 of the 4 airbeams had expanded splitting their outer bags, although they didn't burst altogether.
Initially this manifested itself in the inability to get the central roof area of the tent taut. However we had a night of heavy rain on our last night, and woke up to pools of water around the 3 damaged beams.
It's gone back to AMG via the shop, and I won't be satisfied unless this is completely sorted out. It is expensive for what it is, and to reflect what other posters have said the finish isn't fantastic, lots of loose threads etc.
Idea is brilliant - realisation less so.

Edit: We have now had our first camping trip in poor weather. Though pleased with the tent in fine weather (although we did have to cope with a burst beam in the heat) we are now utterly disillusioned. After only one night of constant rain, followed by a drizzly, windy day, our tent was unusable! Water dripped from the window toggles which acted as 'wicks', there were pools of water gathering around the base of each beam and water spraying through the tent roof with every gust of wind as the (as newly instructed by Vango 3-4 psi) beams buckled then popped back up. We had to pack up and find a B and B nearby to avoid disappointing my son by ending his holiday after only 1 night. Needless to say, the tent is going back today and we are getting a refund. The convenience of quick erection time is appealing though expensive; vastly expensive when you find that the tent doesn't stand up to the weather. We want a quick erect tent that we don't have to worry about once it's up - we've ordered a Khyam - highly recommended by a kind lady who saw us struggling with the Airbeam. Pardon the pun, but this tent has proved a real 'let down'!

Bought a cheap tent to try out camping, camped twice (loved it!), so then upgraded to the Airbeam 600 as the elasticated pole thing was too much hard work!
Goes up VERY quickly, which pleases my other half. He has actually put it up and taken it down single handed a few times now with ease.
We were worried about the beams bursting, but were lucky enough to have been informed by the shop, via aftersales email, about the new psi settings before we used it. Have had it up in very windy weather and hot sun and so far no issues, phew! Still to test heavy rain though! One of the beams did collapse down on us in very strong wind but this was our fault, as we had not put enough air in the beam when we checked it, pumped up again and it was fine all night.
Went for the full outfit, so purchased the awning too and carpet for living area. Awning is superb size for cooking and eating. Doesn't fit 'right' up to tent side at the bottom, so it can get a bit drafty in windy weather and will probably let some water in in heavy rain. But as far as size goes it's brilliant! Plenty of room to store buggy and chairs at front whilst still having kitchen burner set-up and fold down table/chairs up.
Smaller pod best for kids really as with two adults you can tend to get hit in the face with the tent side in windy weather if you are on that side of the bed! Bigger pod fits a travel cot and a double bed at same time, with partition up or down.
Good storage pockets inside and the carpet gives it a nice warm feeling. Great ventilation too allowing you to get rid of condensation before packing. Like the darker pods too so not so much morning glow.
Downsides: Zips sometimes get a bit stuck on doors. Silly design of bag means you struggle to fit it back in, a lot of wasted space at bottom of bag that is not needed really.
Overall LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! :)

Just back from my 4th trip with this tent.
I managed to get the tent, interiors, carpet et al up and running in 13 minutes from off on my own. It's so easy!
Have been worried about the pressure issue on the beams, but no problems so far. It would be useful if Vango supplied a pressure gauge that didn't go up to 30 PSI. Smaller increments would be better.
The tent took a battering over the last 2 trips, but stood up well to the wind, although I have also had some leaks around the base of the beams (seems to be running down the seams and collecting at the base) Only a small amount of water, but will be contacting Vango on Monday. Interesting a previous has also stated that this is due to over inflation, although mine didn't go over 3 PSI.
Side doors are not good in the wet as the water pours straight in if the door is opened. I would think that the canopy fixes this, although if you use the end door, the problem isn't so much of an issue.
The only other niggle is the storm flaps over the door zips keep on catching on the zip. It would be better if the flap was a little thicker which would make it harder to trap.
If you want to pack the tent away easily, you have to remove the inner rooms and carefully push all of the air out. I've thought of cutting the bottom out of the tent bit of the bag but i'm not brave enough yet!
Overall a great piece of design, and a joy to own. Ease of pitching far outweighs any of the niggles.

We've just come back from our disastrous camping weekend. We purchased our airbeam 600 in June, direct from Vango, and did one overnight stay in it, just to try it out. Had I reviewed it then it would have been an 8 out of 10, due to zips sticking. However, the weather on the trial session was dry but not too warm.
We then booked a long weekend away, the campsite didn't have any shelter so our tent was in full sunlight, with temperatures of 26 to 28 degrees. The first afternoon and night were fine, we left the campsite for a few hours. When we returned we discovered one of the central beams had exploded and completely shredded around the valve. We had only pumped it up to the 5psi recommended. Had Vango bothered to contact us to warn us we would not have inflated it to their recommended psi. Consequently we put this one beam blowing down to a fault and tried patching it, which didnt work. We decided to stay another night with a floppy tent, the next day at about 11am the second beam went. That was the end of our weekend. I've had to pacify two young children that had their camping weekend away cut short. And now I've got to negotiate with Vango about a new tent because when the two beam tubes blew, they also blew out the bottom of the casings, which forms part of the tents main structure.
I wish I had read the other reviews on this tent before, had I done so, I probably would not have bought this tent. I think it has too many design flaws, although the concept is good. I have also just spoken to a local campshop and they have said they've had customers with the same issues. They are now recommending that you pump it up to between 3 and 4psi maximum.

My name is Lisa Allan, I am Marketing Manager for Vango and I am keen to learn more about your individual comments and experiences regarding our Vango AirBeam Infinity 600.
We, at Vango, pride ourselves in the integrity of the tents we produce and always aim to deliver the highest possible quality. However on the odd occasion a problem can arise despite our best efforts. We believe that these have been isolated occurrences and are not typical. However, every fault is a failure and we continue to strive for perfection.
You should feel confident in buying a Vango AirBeam, for three reasons,
1. We have taken great care in developing and producing the Vango AirBeam
2. We have over forty years experience in developing cutting edge technologies in outdoor equipment
3. If you are unlucky enough to find a fault, we have an industry leading return and repair service
Please note the following instructions for inflating a Vango AirBeam tent.
Inflate all beams to 3psi. The beams should be guided into an arch as they are inflated by a second person
Once all beams are inflated to 3psi each one can have an additional 1 or 2 'pumps'
Final beam pressure MUST NOT exceed 4psi
We will continue to push the boundaries of new technology to make camping an even more enjoyable and relaxing experience.

Purchased my Infinity 600 a couple of months ago. Tested a couple of times in the garden before finally getting time to go out for real. I'm a single dad with two small kids and got to say this tent is perfect for my needs. I can put it up all pegged down within 5 mins. I looked at tents for a couple of years before finally taking the plunge so it was not a light hearted purchase. Looked at all the main brands Vango and Outwell etc and was just about to purchase an Outwell when the Airbeam was released on display. Two lots of friends recommended I check it out.
Space for four people is fine.
Love the look and design of the tent.
Build quality is very good, no missing parts etc.
Only negatives for me:
1. Price is high.
2. You need two adults to put it back in bag it is tight.
Minor issues:
Could do with a porch area for cooking and entering etc.
Collected my footprint for the tent day before I went off camping and the manager gave this piece of advise. There are two know issues 1. Beam explode when weather is hot 2. Water leaks around flaps of beams in wet weather. These are both caused by over inflating the beams. Vangos instructions say 5psi but have since recommended on 3 to 4psi max. You would have thought that purchasers would have been informed.
To sum up love my tent and even more the kids love it and camping so all is well.

Thought the following would be useful - sent to me by Yeomans from Vango - apparently they are aware there is a problem and have found that a lot of the seam leak/burst beam problems have been caused by overinflating the beams - the latest advice for the entire Infinty range is to inflate to 3psi NOT 5psi, the add a further puff or two if desired but under no circs to go above 4 psi.
They also say each beam is to be guided gently into an upright arch whilst inflating. Thanks to Yeomans who appear to have sent this info to all their customers.
I have used my infinity 800 once,(yes I know this blog is for the 600 but applies across the range) in light rain, and luckily have had no issues (hence 10/10) BUT not tried it in torrential rain yet (!). I'm afraid it will be going back if it leaks despite the new pitching instructions - keeping fingers crossed!
Happy Camping all!
