We have owned this tent for over a year and have done 3 family camping trips in it, plus once to a festival. It's a massive tent, and has loads of benefits. As a family of 3, we sleep in the four man area and one of the 2 man pods, leaving the final area as storage. In the main living room there's loads of space for tables and chairs and cooking set up. The side doors are brilliant, although might be better if both sides had an electric cable entry point on. Not too much of an issue.
No problem with leaks, withstands winds well due to the tension straps (we only put these up if it is windy as I'm worried about catching these with my head) and is very snug. We bought the groundsheet and the carpet with it, which means you can sit on the floor comfortably without getting cold. The mesh door is very handy, and the king poles for one end are great if you only use one end.
It does take a while to put up and is heavy, but is an enormous tent, so it's to be expected. We've had 4 adults and 3 kids sleep in it for 2 nights and was a squeeze, but doable. Also, we used it for a festival and it became a living space for all of us going. The brow pole over the side door is very tricky to get it - it appears to be slightly too long. The trick we use is to insert it before we peg the tent out - that seems to make it much easier.
A great tent, couldn't ask for more.

Absolutely awesome tent. We have 2 kids (2 & 4) and gives us loads of space. We all sleep in the one big bedroom giving us masses of room inside (great for when its raining!). We also bought the side canopy and use that as a kitchen and a sitting area of an evening. Also puts up with the weather brilliantly. Can't recommend enough.

Bought this tent after reading others reviews found it very roomy plenty of sleeping area and a large living area. Our first ever holiday in Norfolk and we had really heavy rain but we were fine not a single leak and it held up in the wind we had too. Condensation was a bit of a problem and a few more vents would fix it but when the sun comes up it soon goes. Have the side extension as well which stayed in place even in the wind thanks to the Delta pegs. Overall a really good tent we look forward to using again and again

This is a fantastic tent with great space and comfort. Only negatives are:
Small pole over the door seems a little too long making it too tight and the zip a little difficult to do up and undo but it's ok.
One of the smaller rooms have poor quality in craftsmanship although is still very usable.
Tips:
Get Footprint groundsheet for extra protection. And definitely get the carpet, it made a huge improvement on the comfort of walking around with no shoes on inside the tent.
Overall we are very happy with it and when the time comes will definitely get another Vango.

Our first tent for a number of years and first real family tent. The great advantage with this tent is that it's really easy to pitch. Takes us about 20 minutes to get the main body of the tent up and a bit longer to get the side canopy in place. The tent is a really good size, and we love the flexible sleeping pods which give us real flexibility on internal space and private sleeping areas for the kids. The living area is also a really good size and the tent stays cosy.
Only reason I wouldn't give this 10 stars is down to issues we've had with the side canopy. We can't seem to get it in the right location so that it sits nicely on the tent and when it rains, rainwater collects between the canopy and then washes down into the canopy area flooding anything which is close to the tent wall. Might be the way we pitch it, but we've camped 4 times now and not been able to resolve this problem. We're now thinking that if the weather isn't likely to be good we probably won't take the side canopy, which is a shame because it gives us a nice outside area to sit in where we're still protected from the weather, and we've been using it as a kitchen space.
In all other respects it's a fantastic tent. Really good for families.

Having had another baby we decided we needed a bigger tent and after a lot of research I settled on the tigris for a number of reasons;
Firstly it is no larger than most sites max limit before they make you pay for two pitches unlike a lot of the other 8man tents around, that doesnt mean your short of space though its massive inside!
Secondly the options for bedrooms, we have 3 children (9,5 and 6 months) we put the large 4 man room across the back for them and then just one of the two man rooms at the front for us meaning we can still have the front door open and can pop our bedroom up and down as needed, the 'big' bedroom was surprisingly quiet when the rest of the tent was in use(a huge bonus with small children!)
It is fairly easy to put up with the two of us (and of course a little 'help' from the kids!) and it fits back into the bag no problem either (more than our old pro action ever did!) it doesnt take up loads of room in the car (we only have a Kia Ceed!) but it is heavy,
Only had a couple of very small leaks along a couple of seams but nothing a bit of seam sealer wont fix,
The pockets inside are very handy although don't hold much weight(we used them for crocs, sunglasses, magazines ect)the flyscreens on all the doors are a fantastic idea, lets air in but not bugs and it was so hot we spent a few nights with just these closed as opposed to the doors!
We love this tent so far, been out in it twice now and think its fantastic esp with small children plenty of room even when your stuck in because of rain and very versatile

Lovely tent plenty of room for the family [4] Good sized living room and bedrooms. Stood up great to some severe weather when other people were not so lucky around us. Would definitely get another one I would recommend purchasing the carpet, it gives that warming touch and a footprint to protect the underneath of the tent

This is our first tent, and we find it really easy to put up (despite 2 young boys running round our feet).
Nice and airy and roomy, but could do with more ventilation and bigger windows to make it feel more 'at one' with the outdoors. We use to large bedroom for us four, one 2 bed pod for all our kitchen stuff etc and the other for all our clothes. This keeps the living area clutter free and roomy.
Downside is we didn't realise we might have to book extra large or double pitches, but worth it for the room. Went camping at Easter and watched several other tents blow away but ours stayed the course!

We initially brought this tent for our weekend trips as it is very easy and quick to set up.We were very impressed with it and are now thinking that it is a great family tent and that we should use it for our 10 day holiday in July. Our 2 sons shared 1 room, our daughter in another and we had a huge room which stored our kingsize airbed plus plenty of space around us. Living space was ample and we had the side extension which housed our kitchen and cooking gear.Would definitely recommend the extension and carpet, as they give that little extra comfort. We camped on a very windy weekend where we watched a few tents blow away.I was a little unsure of the fibreglass poles as we are used to steel ones but the Tigris withstood a battering from the elements and no damage sustained. Overall it is a good family tent with a comfortable amount of living space.

Vary easy to erect with two people. You need tougher pegs than the ones supplied. Highly recommend the carpet and Tunnel extension. Be careful you do not buy the tent extension that goes on the end rather than the side tunnel extension. Tent withstood the tail end of a hurricane while at Higher Warcombe farm campsite with only a split pole section to show for it when other tents and awnings were being completely destroyed. All in all a very good family tent with quite a few layout options as regards the bedrooms.

Manufacturer's Description
The Vango Yukon range of tents has been replaced by the Vango Tigris range - which in turn are very similar to the Nevada Range already produced by Outwell. The Tigris has a very simple 5-pole fiberglass pole structure but one that gives great head height and therefore one that gives a light and airy feel. There are also flexible bedroom arrangements and storage options a plenty plus three entrance options. The tent frame is constructed with Powerflex fiberglass poles, a Protex 3000 Polyester flysheet (3000mm hydrostatic head protection) and as is the norm these days, the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to keep out unwanted pests and draughts. The other key features of the tent include a waterproof exterior storm skirt, flysheet first pitching, 2+2+4 (with divider) sleeping compartments, colour coded poles, TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH internal polyester groundsheet, cable entry point and tidies, mesh double doors, mesh vents, pelmet and inner tent pockets, 'Crystal Clear' windows, double zip windows (for vent/light/cover flexibility), breathable fabric inner tent, inner tents and divider can be removed when not in use, parallel zipped front door can be used as a sun canopy, canopy over side door, rain gutter zip covers. Saddle bag and repair kit included. Flame retardant throughout.
Capacity: 8 people Price: £300.00 Total Weight: 25.45g Pack Size: 71x47x32cm Pitching Area: 940x500cm Pitching Time: 20min
