Super tent. Saw one last year in France and managed to get one for 135.00 upon our return. Used for the first time this year. In comparison to our Sunncamp Family Vario 5 was an absolute doddle to put up. 2 people 1/2 an hour! amazing! Withstood very heavy French winds and an entire night of torrential rain with just a slip drip at the zip. Would definitely recommend this one.

I purchased the Pegasus 6 tent in 2006 and have had two full seasons of fab camping all over the UK.This is a well designed tent for families with the need for space, of which there is plenty .
I have to say I have been very happy with the performance of the tent until very recently. I had an experience similar to MDuffield in high wind.
With gusts of 35mph the tent lost its shape . Guys snapped , poles cracked and eventually the main dome of the tent gave way to a sustained battering. Looking around the campsite I realised that the only type of tents that were withstanding this extreme condition were the steel pole frame type.
Upon return and after examination the damage was beyond repair.
I have now purchased the Coleman Gallileo weathermaster which very good reviews with terms such as 'bomb proof'.
To summarise I would have to say - choose your pitch carefully -with the thought of shelter from the wind in mind. Other than that I cannot be too harsh on the tent for design , layout and waterproofing it is excellent.

Layout: The living area is huge in comparison to many other 6 berth tents, with excellent head room for even the tallest of people. The best thing about the tent is the flexibility of the living area. It has a door to each side complete with fly screens, 2 windows which can be opened to the fresh air and a variety of options to the front of the tent. The front has 2 big windows and a big door with a huge window in it.(these all have curtains) These and the skylight in the roof make it a very light and spacious tent. The whole front of the tent rolls back and there is an eyebrow porch so that you can make the most of the sun. If you open the front up and the side doors the living room acts more like a gazebo so it's cool in the heat.
The bigger bedroom will sleep 3 in comfort but the smaller room is the exact size of a double air bed so a bit of a squeeze if you have luggage as well, probably better for 1.
Ease of Pitching. It is easy enough for two to pitch, provided one of you is tallish. It takes us about an hour including pegs.
Weather -resistance.
We have used this tent in heavy wind (up to 35mph) and it stood up to it fine. We have also gone through some heavy rain without any leaks.
Other: The light colour to the living room also helps and the bedrooms are darker to help with sleeping. The only downside of the colour is that it stains and suffers sun bleaching more easily than a darker tent. There is plenty of storage things on the walls for smaller items. The ground sheet is a separate item with sewn in ones in the bedrooms. The main ground sheet goes right under the bedrooms to help keep the bedrooms clean so you could use it without one or more of the bedrooms. One major gripe is that it has black guy ropes rather than florescent ones.

Nice when sunny but......
'I purchased a Pegasus tent in September 2006 hoping to use it last year. Unfortunately we never got round to it.
The first time we used it was this weekend.
The tent is now in a skip at a camp site near Harlech.
The tent was fine until the wind started getting up at which point the guys and the poles were not strong enough to keep the tents shape. I had to repeatedly tighten the guys until the end finally came when one of the guy lines which was attached to a stitched tab finally tore it off. I attached the guy to another part of the pole but after a few hours the tent again had lost its shape and a pole snapped.
With this a pole finally snapped and then another, more guy lines tore the tabs from the main sheet and the tent collapsed.
It was night, I had an 18 month old and a 3 ½ year old in the tent. I had to put them in the car whilst packing up the insides of the tent and dismantling what was left, before leaving the campsite and driving 4 hours home.
I don’t expect any refund as I wasn’t in the mood to stop and take pictures at the time, I bought the tent in 2006 and so there will be no warranty, and it was windy.
However I am very disappointed with the Wynnster tent. Other tents were coping with the wind fine. I have had 20 years camping experience in all weathers in the US, south America and Europe and in much worse conditions.
I will now look elsewhere for a replacement

The knack is: put all poles through the tent, get partner inside in the middle where the poles cross. Get them to lift this above their head whilst you put the four diagonal ends in theire respective holes in the ground tape. This then holds the tent up, they can come out and help you put other poles in the ground tape.
From trailer to making a brew all set up, 1 hour!

Wonderful tent in every way. Our family is two adults and two boys - one 6 and one 3 so we manage fine with this.
It does take a while to set up and take down. Erecting the dome is tricky as it is heavy but once you are done there is tons of space, especially in the living area. Bramley.I'd love to know the 'knack' please.
I think the new version comes with a sewn in groundsheet but we picked ours up for £115 brand new so there was no contest as the new version is £hundreds more.
Highly recommended.And it looks great.

Absoloute gem of a tent. Two adults and a labrador, loads of room. All our mates seem to end up in with us as well, the non- sleeping area is huge.
Ours recently had two small holes in, don't have a clue how they got there, but hey, the tent comes with a repair kit.So easily sorted

A superb tent ideal for a couple who love space!
Two sleeping compartments, once can be used as a storage are for clothes etc and can be used to change in whilst leaving the other for the bed.
The living are is large enough to stand up straight in( my partner can't reach the roof) you can have all kitchen stuff set up, all doors closed and still room to sit around a table.
Three doors to be opened along with windows. Porche over the main door so you can pull the BBQ close if we get a shower.
Easy to put up once you have practiced a few times, there is a real knack to it we have found. Takes about 1hr from start to finsh including setting up all inside.
Only downside is that we would have preferred a swen in ground sheet, but hey you can't have it all.
This is our third and best tent and does seem to be the envy of others camping around us
