My Wife and I have used this tent many, many times in the last 5 years. Cost £70.00 if I remember correctly. Firstly I will agree it's not the easiest to erect. However we get faster every time through experience. Never had a broken pole (yet). It has withstood all weathers, including a quite horrendous week in Devon. Other tents were wrecked but our Nantai stood firm. Agree with other reviewers about the groundsheet in the lounge area. Doesn't fit too well. Also the bedroom elastic ties are starting to look a bit ragged. It has also started to leak quite badly, but this is after much use. All in all I would have to say it's a very good tent for the price. Sleeps 2 in comfort - wouldn't suit 4 people. Now moving on to an Outwell tent.

I've retired this tent now and gone for a slightly smaller one, hopefully easier to pitch. Long term faults/fails are:- more pole breakages despite extra guys, torn pole tube, torn lounge door zip flap (immovably snagged in zip), 2x bedroom suspenders torn out of material, failed stitching on 2 bedroom pegging loops.

All in all not at all bad service for a budget tent and all of the repairs were sorted with Duct Tape. Talking of which one of the pitching problems was to get the pole locater spikes to stay in place in the bottom of the pole on the first side while nipping round to the other side to fix the other second end. Cured this by holding first end in place with my favourite remedy for all (Duct Tape)

As of early may this year still virtually waterproof after 3 days of heavy rain. Slight leak from lounge end top seam. And I think that is pretty good. Now free to a good home, buyer collects.

We bought this tent for music festivals. We have a Coleman Mckenzie cabin for our family trips and various small tents for motorbike touring etc. This was purchased as we were fed up of lying on our backs trying to get changed at music festivals. Price had to be fairly cheap as there is always a chance of the tent getting trashed. This fitted perfectly for me and my wife.

Plenty of room for standing and storing gear. Loved the extra front ground sheet and the way it fits with ties and velcro. The various combinations of door openings is fantastic. Little touches like being able to reach out of your sleeping bag in the morning to open the rear vents to allow air flow is fantastic.

Once the tent is up it looks and is sturdy.

However it is AN ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE to erect!

Now im quite a tent expert, this tent definitely needs two people to put up and a third person would be very useful. The instructions are useless and if you do manage to follow them you WILL break the poles!

We have tried many ways and still don't have a plan! always suck it and see at the festival site.

Apart from the pitching its a fabulous tent

I bought this tent for it's design, i.E. Spacious single bedroom and large living area, as we have three dogs and need the room. I have to say that we like the design and the tent is definitely big enough for us all, even in poor weather when we are sitting inside, and the head height is good too.

However, I feel the manufacture quality of the tent is not as good as it should be, though for the £120 we paid for it I do appreciate we couldn't expect it to be amazing. The tent has never leaked, and we have no problems with condensation (we have used it in all weathers, 3 seasons) BUT we have suffered THREE broken poles. Once, Halfords replaced the whole tent as they didn't have a spare pole. The second time, they sent away for a replacement pole (the same one that broke originally) and it took three weeks to come - and the third pole only broke this weekend so I assume we will have to purchase a replacement, if they are still available. I think one broken pole is probably unlucky - however, three broken poles I feel is possibly a quality issue?

Overall the tent looks nice, gives plenty of room, lots of options for doors/windows being open/closed etc but the poles are not strong enough and the tent is, quite frankly, a PIG to erect! The living area groundsheet attaches to the fly and bedroom pod by velcro but is not a very good fit, takes ages crawling about on hands and knees trying to make it fit - in fact, they could have used this for one of the Krypton Factor challenges. This last camping trip we decided to leave the groundsheet out altogether and didn't really miss it (the grass was dry and well cropped so it was OK). The groundsheet would definitely benefit from being pre-attached.

I guess you get what you pay for. I think I will be looking for a tent of a similar size and design which is of a higher quality, has a sewn-in groundsheet and is easier to erect.

We bought this tent in an emergency, having arrived at a campsite in Devon in 2010 with a tent but no tent poles, so this was bought as a very quick buy and we were limited because we didn't want to spend too much nor spend ages shopping around. This one cost us about £80 and we like it very much, though we have never used it as a 4 person tent (just for 2 of us) and agree with the previous reviewer that it would be quite cramped for 4. However, for 2 people we have a nice, spacious bedroom area and a living area with room for our camping kitchen and a table and we can both sit inside if need be on rainy days.

It is a bit tricky to put up, though we are getting better at this and, I would say it is definitely a 2 person job. There is some colour coding of the bendy poles which help though it would also be helpful if they colour coded the end bit where they go in as we often get this wrong first time round. I do feel quite nervous about bending these flexible poles though we haven't had any problems for our 2 weeks camping in sunny Devon (2010) or cool, damp Wales (2011) nor have we had any experience of strong winds.

I like the fact that on sunny days there are plenty of doorways to unzip and one side of it can be used as an awning (though we discovered that we had bought a tent which was missing these poles!) but fortunately had some spares of our own.

We haven't had any trouble with wet coming in or condensation.

Cannot imagine 4 people sleeping in this tent. I find it perfect as a sole camper on my double mattress. Poor ventilation, all or nothing. Condensation is quite severe. Rain and condensation do not run off too easily. Internal height very good. Not easy to pitch (I do this by myself though) but is becoming easier with practice and technique development. Inner tent suspension elastics permanently stretched. At 2000mm Hydrostatic some leakage in heavy rain and wind, but not too serious. F'glass pole broken in gales over w/e of 27th May. Design does not have enough pole curve over bedroom end, main diagonal poles thus collapse inwards in even moderate wind. Have resorted to putting extra bracing guys directly onto these 2 poles. Replacement of these 2 off 11mm Dia poles completed at a reasonable £11-98 from Halfords. If you consider buying this tent check that the poles (4 total) are complete, before leaving the shop. The light colouring of both the inner and outer tents make even the most dull mornings seem full of sunshine. I like this tent although it suffers from all the usual faults of economy tents, I paid only £70 for it last autumn but I'm not too sure how long it will survive the rigours of my all weather camping. The lounge end only groundsheet attaches to the tent walls with velcro. It would improve this tent immeasurably if the groundsheet covered the whole footprint. On reflection I would say its best performance would be in a warm dry climate.
