Agree with above reviews. I used this in the 90's and then stored it. It's now 2024 and my son has just used it constantly for expeditions for the last year. On inspection it now needs re proofed and all the tape seams have come away on the inner by the ground sheet and the outer fly. Can't find any information on what materials I'm working with to replace tape seals. Sad to see I can't get Wild Country to retake for me as I'd have welcomed it.

Just pulled mine out for another year and found the small seam at front door by pole just pealed off will try and fix my self and keep it going another year
Great wee tent for the money some fading in the fly but other than that all good was thinking it might be time to buy the new one but still keeps the midges and the rain out

Bought my Wild Country Trisar back in 1991, prior to some wild camping in Torridon (sorry Thehillwalker; mine is older).
An excellent backpacking tent; semi geodesic 3 hoop design, well made with aluminium poles, good headroom for a backpacking tent, and stands up to some pretty severe weather (although in a real storm I would rather be in a Force 10).
Used it on a walk from Swansea to Conwy (torrential rain), and wild camping in the Pyrenees (terrifying thunderstorms), as well as short wild camping trips in Scotland.
Only damage sustained has been due to my incompetence; fractured the end of a pole whilst assembling, but I managed to file off the damaged end with a needle file; the pole is 1cm shorter but this is no problem in practice.
Only minus point is that the fly touches the inner at the rear in strong winds; despite my best efforts to guy the fly out.
But if you see one of these second hand, snap it up; the Trisar is a quality 2 person backpacking tent.

Bought a Wild Country Ultra Trisar way back in '94. It cost a small fortune back then but it's still (mostly) going strong (apart from one squirrel attack and some seam tape lifting). Suspect mine might be the oldest one still in use. Contacted Wild Country recently to see if I could get the seams re-taped but they said it can't be done:(
Really can't fault anything about the tent in terms of its design. Amazingly sturdy in even the worst weather conditions and enough room in the porch for two rucksacks.

Description
This classic Terra Nova design has been revamped to fit with in the Wild Country range, but retains the three pole geodesic structure that makes it so stable.
The large inner tent will sleep 3 at a push and 2 in comfort with the addition of a porch window makes it that bit easier to sort your gear in the morning. Venting front and rear keeps condensation to a minimum and the inclusion of a porch ground sheet helps keep your kit dry.
Full pole sleeves on the inner allow easy pitching and the elliptical inner door makes it easer to stow when open.
