We bought this tent to give us a different type of tent. We have a Colorado 800 DLX and are very happy with it but with a dome tent you do not have much of a view when you are sat inside on a wet day so we had a good look around for a tent that you can sit in side and watch the world go by on a wet day or sit in the porch when it is drizzling. We used this tent for the first time on the weekend. Best way to pitch is start at the bedroom end put up end section, peg out and work your way to the canopy section. We did buy the footprint, it does help to set up pitching area. Took us about 50 mins to erect and kit out. We did not buy the carpet, the Colorado one fits ok just a bit short on the sides but would buy kampa one if we did not have it.
Just set up got the kettle on and the sky opened, rained all that evening and night and very windy. The first thing we noticed was the bars that run lengthways on the inside from corner to corner made the whole roof section seem very sturdy and secure. We did not have any water in the tent, dry and warm. We did not use the pegs that came with the tent we always use rock pegs on this site when we go there so can not report on the pegs that came with the tent.
The tent comes in two bags, tent and pole. Tent bag is oversized so tent went back in side with no problem. Nice touch is the small canopy on the side door did keep rain out when opened to go in and out and the side door on the other side can be opened out with king poles that come with the tent. When the sun shines you have mesh on side doors, found that useful when the sun does come out, with the large windows it does get hot ,so vent above front door does help air flow through tent.
There are small things that I like zips on both sides for cable entry and zipped bedroom partition and storage pockets in side tent and bedroom that are large and useful, that you can actually put things in. Front door that zips closes without you having to pull tent around to get zip to close, and the strong hook for light. Clips for cable to run down the inside to keep the cable tidy and the best thing I think is the built in canopy that you can sit or cook under. If the wind picks up you can pull out poles and tie canopy to the front of the tent in a couple of minutes if needed.
We are very happy with this tent and for the price don’t think we could have done better for this type of tent, and for the two of us is large but we like plenty of room.

This is our first tent and we have just got back from our 2nd camping trip having been able to put the tent up and down really easily without rowing!
There are 3 of us and we find that there is plenty of space which comes in handy in bad weather as the living area is massive. We chose this tent due to the canopy that is included so that we could sit outside in bad weather , which we have had to do on many occasions. The sleeping areas are adequate and we put the divider up so we are all in one space. Plenty of storage slots for books and games.
A brilliant tent for the cost

Wow this tent is amazing for the price :-) The massive living area and attached porch are perfect for the British rain (which seems to happen every time I go camping!) I have 4 small children and there was plenty of space for all our stuff. The bedroom can be split if wanted but I left it open and had 3 double air beds which fit perfectly. Great storage pockets and mozzy nets on doors ;-) Tent took about 45 mins to put up and peg down but I think we will get quicker the more we use it! Overall this tent is great and I would highly recommend it

Excellent tent, we are really pleased with it, we bought this six man tent for the two of us as we like a lot of space when we are camping and also we can take other people if we want to. There is one 4man bedroom and one 2man which are divided by a roll up curtain, beings as there was only the 2 of us camping we rolled up the curtain and put our double mattress in the middle of the sleeping area so we could have our clothes each side of us and our own door to get in and out! The living area is huge, we also purchased the carpet for extra comfort, there is one central door at the front with a window each side of it, then there is a window each side of the tent and a door on each side which can either can have a window in it or have it open with a bug mesch on. All windows have curtains.
The big big bonus on this tent is the built in canopy which has a removable groundsheet, it was so nice not to have to keep putting up and taking down the canopy poles every time you wanted to shut the tent up but to be able to sit under it permanently and just close the tent door when leaving.
It took two of us about an hour from start to finish to put up the tent and put everything inside it which I didnt think was too bad for a first attempt, it was really really simple and we were well impressed with the ease that it went up and came down. The tent comes in two bags and the total weight is about 40kg so its not the lightest but the poles were really solid with springs inside, we did manage to pull one of the springs out by accident but a long nose pair of pliers soon put it back
A really sturdy roomy tent, excellent value for money, will really enjoy our weekends away in this tent

Manufacturer's Description
If you’re looking for a tent with loads of features then look no further than the Croyde 6. It’s packed with ideas to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. The tent has the Kampa Sealed Groundsheet System (SGS) to keep the weather and bugs out and the warmth in. Inside you’ll find a large inner tent that, if required, can be divided into two bedrooms by using the zipped privacy curtain. This inner tent has loads of storage, both in the interior pockets and also in the organiser built into the front. The upright front wall allows full use of all the interior space and you’ll appreciate the generous headroom that gives and impression of space. The front of the tent is protected by the large built-in sun canopy that you can shade under on those sunny days and as it’s an integral part of the tent it is more sturdy and less fiddly to set up unlike those add-on canopies. If not required, or in stormy conditions, it can simply be stowed away. The Croyde 6 has a stable type front door and two side doors, both with a built in fly screen and one has a protective canopy for those rainy days.
