Having only used canvas frame tents before, I was a little sceptical about buying a tunnel tent. How glad I am that we did get the Ontario 8. Very easy to pitch, plenty of room in the sleeping areas and loads of space in the main living area. We endured plenty of rain during our holiday and no leaks, no worries. Theres no turning back now, no more frame tents for us. We love our tunnel tent. Brilliant

A fantastic tent with plenty of room. We previously owned an Ontario 6 and loved it, so when we decided to upgrade to a bigger tent, this was the obvious choice. We also have the sun porch which I would recommend strongly. It is great to have a separate space for the kitchen stand, cooker, coolboxes and food cupboard without losing any of the large living space in the centre of the tent. Plus it is a useful place to keep muddy wellies.
The tent is simple to put up with 2 people, but the 2 children help and have their specific jobs, so the whole operation is very quick and smooth. Teamwork! There is loads of space inside with 3 bedrooms, the largest of which can be split into 2, each big enough for a double airbed. We have had 7 sleeping in the tent and there was plenty of room.
We have used it 4 times this year and love this tent, it even withstood very severe West Country weather with no leaks and no damage.
I would fully recommend this as the ideal family tent.

We have just got back from my 3rd camping trip this year. I bought this particular make/model as it was recommended by a couple of different friends. It is so easy to put up and with the additional purchases of a carpet and a porch, it's almost home from home. There's plenty of space for everyone and so far the most we've had congregated in it is 15 on a rainy night.

As a family of six (two adults and four children) we camped with our Ontario 8 for the first time. We were very pleased with it. We had purchased at the end last year. Having only pitched it in my parents garden previously, we were amazed at how quick we could erect the tent at only the second attempt. We managed to do it in under an hour. Its great being able to put up the inner rooms after erecting the main tent without getting wet if it were raining. We also purchased the sun porch for this tent and were amazed at how they both held up against quite strong sea breezes on a couple of occasions.
The tent had been previously weathered in my parents garden with a hose, and when it did rain, there was no evidence of any leaks anywhere. The ventilation was more than adequate and there was no build up of condensation in either of the four occupied rooms.
I cannot recommend this tent enough to anybody. It was very durable and stood upto four kids aged between 5 and 15, zipping and unzipping the doors and inner rooms at all hours of the day. We did boil the kettle a few times on a small camping cooker on a table in the middle of the impressively large living area. We did prefer to cook outside though (just our preference on safety issues).
We found this tent very comfortable for the six of us to live in for the seven nights that we were away. It can be a struggle to get back in the bag, but as long as you remove all trapped air we found it no problem at all. We will definitely be using this tent for many years to come. Well done Khyam!

This tent is a great family tent, we have been camping for the last 20 years, we now have a 12 yr old and an 8 yr old and have recently purchased this tent. The inside is really versatile, with 3 pods and a choice of having one two or three up, even with all 3 pods up there is plenty of living space and with a built in groundsheet ideal for the cooler nights, we have also camped in very heavy rain and high wind and the tent weathered it great, we recently went away and had 4 adults and 5 children and had plenty of space, and it only takes 20 minutes to erect.

I love this tent, great amount of space and with 2 adults and 2 children you're not on top of each other. Easy to put up and pack away even in white cropped trousers and diamanti flip flops :-) I love that you can stand up anywhere in the tent. The only reason that I gave it a 9 was when it rains and you open the door as they're on the curve the rain comes in but now I have bought the sun porch I won't be having that problem, used the porch for the first time last week and its only time I've 'glamped' and its not rained. So didn't see it in all its glory but made a great storage for the bikes, the fitted carpet is fantastic another add on but well worth it. My friends were so impressed with ours they sold their new one after one trip and bought the same as it was so simple to use.

I am very pleased with this tent, we are a family of 5 and there is plenty of room in both the sleeping compartments and middle section for everyone.
It is very straightforward to erect, and I have managed to put it up and take it down by myself on the odd occasion I have been camping without my husband. It also fits back in the bag without too much trouble. Would definitely recommend it.

I got this tent because I had to return my Seattle (manufacturing flaws) and they had none left so I put a bit more cash to and got this. Unfortunately this one has a flaw and jrleisure are exchanging it again !(same model) Rhis time the anchoring points were on the wrong side of the poles meaning you had to wrap it round the pole or stretch it across the door (very helpful). Full marks to jrleisure though, great and helpful. (please let the next one be okay!)
Apart from this it seems to be a good tent 7.3 metres by 3.5 The eyebrow is a good idea but it isn'tbug proof! Are any ? Big stag beetles in Hunmanby and the ones with the tails like a pincer they liked it too. First time took about an hour to pitch , same to pack but we are a bit rubbish , we're too picky and wipe it down with cloths as we go.
Tent inside is nice and airy with a big communal area , lots of pockets , if you just use pods at one end its MASSIVE. Only thing I can fault is it needs a bona fide cooking area for when its raining , get a foot print too keeps it clean . For the money a very good tent, hope the new ones defect free!

Lots of room, lots of nice features. However it seems not to be well made, with some of those features dropping off from very first use and most importantly poles seem to disintegrate all too easily. We use the tent several times a year but I don't expect to have splintering poles (children beware!) on every other outing.

Great family tent we love it,if it broke tomorrow we would go and buy another one. Plenty of room you are able to fully stand up ,it goes up and down within 30 min. My son who is 10 and I put it up easily. You have a big living area and even more if you don't need all the bedrooms. The tent has withstood some very bad weather. We have had our tent for 2 years and have only had to replace 1 pole section ,we regularly use it from spring to autumn. We successfully get the tent in the bag but use a separate bag for the poles.
