Big step up from our old 2/3 man domes! I was hoping for the M for my b'day surprise, and was ecstatic to get this, far over our original discussed budget!
Very easy for us novices to pitch, colour coded poles and sleeves, all the inners already attached, couldn't have taken us more than 30 minutes, including bickering time!
Loads of room inside, managed to fit both kids into the snug front inner, and they didn't complain!
No leaks that we've noticed in the slight rain we've camped in so far. The porch pole is tight, but we were forewarned, thanks to this site, and we are aware and coping so far with it.
This is so superior in every way to our previous camping experience that I'm trying hard not to gush. Love this tent, and want to live in it forever!

Used this for 2 years now. Never any trouble. The best thing about it has to be the ease of erection. We always go camping with other families, and the Nevada is always up first. Highly recommend getting the 'footprint' groundsheet to go underneath. Saves a lot of cleaning, and makes siting the tent much easier too.
Withstood heavy rain and winds. We were in Filey in 2006 a couple of weeks before the same campsite got washed away. Our gazebo got blown into a hedge and written off during the night, but the Nevada stood firm.
All in all a great tent. Only minus is the lack of a porch, which is useful for cooking if the weather turns bad.

A great family tent - easy to pitch, spacious, good storage, robust and watertight (and believe me it was well tested in this regard.). The add-on canopy was a last minute purchase before we set off, but proved to be an impressive addition, providing added shelter when the weather turned and being just as robust as the tent itself. Yes, the 'porch pole' seems to place undue stress on the door zipper, but that caused no real issues. And, in the context of a family tent that performed so well in testing conditions, that barely registers as a quibble. All in all, thoroughly impressed.

We purchased a 2007 model in early November, but didn't try it out in rain until May 2008. Unfortunately it leaked along all the pole seams, so I returned it for a replacement. The replacement model (2008) has been fine and not leaked at all. However the 'porch pole' does cause problems as mentioned below (don't remember this being a problem with the 07 model - I think they may have made it a longer pole and larger porch area for 08). Other than that this tent suits our family of four wonderfully, we have used it for our main family holiday, complete with the optional canopy for wet weather use, and it is absolutely ideal.
P.S. Although it is a doddle to pitch, the pitching instructions are pants and we don't do it the way they say at all! The way I do it I can pitch the tent on my own in less than half-an-hour, if you follow their instructions you need at least 2 of you and one needs to be fairly strong!

The tent was extremely easy to pitch, which was necessary with two toddlers and a 12 week old puppy in tow! We purchased the children's inner, which was a huge hit with our 2 (and every other child on the campsite!) Unfortunately, we became the creche, but the tent held out well. We experienced extremely heavy rain, which became prolonged over a matter of days and still the tent held out. We had purchased the footprint groundsheet, which I am sure helped, but we were eventually flooded out of our pitch and amazed at how well the tent coped with such bad weather. It seems that as with all the other reviews we experienced difficulty with the porch pole too and were very wary of it ripping the material or putting excessive strain on the zip. A design fault which I hope they will rectify, other than that a great tent.

We found it fairly easy to pitch which was a bonus and it was roomy inside the bedrooms.
Problems straight away were the flysheet to the main door was overstretched due to the tension/length of the pole over the door, this ripped within two days!
The main problem though was it leaked water, the main bedroom is split into two sections and one of them was soaking wet by morning, supposed to be 3000rated. It had rained very heavily but speaking to many other campers, some with same rating/some with less, they had not had a problem. Returned it for a refund. Looking to buy another tent at the minute, but definitely not an outwell.

Have just bought a 2008 model Nevada L from Yeomans and on pitching in garden to check it out found that the door eye brow thingy pole is still placing excessive strain on the flysheet and mesh doors. I have no doubt it will cause a problem with prolonged use.
However, of more concern is the universal tent inner which when converted to one large bedroom, leaves a zipped section on the floor which at the rear, rises to some 3 inches from the floor. To place a double mattress over the raised section, which I assume a lot of owners will be doing, will definitely put excessive strain on the inner tent and fixings.
In light of the above, Yeomans have thankfully agreed to exchange or refund the tent and I have opted for a Hartford L. Here's hoping!

Having recently purchased this tent we have now taken her out on first weekend trip and she performed fantastically.
Pitching could not be much easier, starting by pegging out the end opposite the forward door, which should be open to allow air into the tunnel, then put the four coloured poles through thier respective sleeves and locate the ring pins into the ends to form the hoops. It is then a simple procedure to walk each hoop forward pegging as you go and tensioning the very effective straps and the numerous guy lines. The inners are prefitted and have tension straps to pull them into shape, all thats left to do then is put the carpet down and kick back and enjoy. Total time for pitching is aprox twenty minutes.
The better half and I have been camping now for four years and this is our fourth tent each one getting larger. This tent is by far head and shoulders above any thing we could of hoped for. The main sleeping inner can be converted to one large room 2mtr by 2.5mtrs and enough room for a six footer to stand in, it also has numerous pockets both inside and on the room side front for storage. The front inner which is optimistically termed as a double can be opened on both sides to form a walk through door and for us gives a very useful area for wet gear.
The Nevada has a fully sown-in groundsheet, has lots of ventilation points and with the carpet fitted in the sitting area makes for a superbly comfortable camping experience.
One of the doors is fitted with an eye brow awning to stop water entering the living space when opened, this was the only area of the tent that raised complaint as the short length of four section pole that forms the hoop snapped on us in the first twenty four hours, also it was very difficult to close the door due to the tension placed on the zipper by this pole which we will be contacting Outwell about, but I feel sure they will sort this for us other wise I would of given the Nevada L 10 out of 10 as we are over the moon with it and have no problem recommending this model
