Also had big problems with this tent (had 3 in total) mainly with leaking problems. We also had various poles sap. That said, the layout of this tent is great, we used the porch as our 'wet & messy' area and the lounge as our 'dry and tify' area.

Had big problems with faults at first (4 replacements until got one free of faults)! However, having said that, in terms of layout, ease of pitching and proportions, this is definitely the perfect tent for us. Very roomy sleeping rooms which can be opened into 1 (great with small kids) or completely removed, large living area and huge porch (easily big enough to have 2 loungers, dining table and kitchen area in. In fact, the design works so well 2 of our friends have also purchased them. Definitely a fab tent so long as you get a post 2006 model as Outwell had many teething problems in that year. Love it!
