First time we have used this tent as we only bought it 2 weeks ago wow how much space do you need it was brilliant although we are only learners at the camping game as this is only our 3rd time we found this tent easy to get up although im sure it wasn't perfect but as they say practise makes perfect. All in all we thought it was brilliant.

Used our Invader600 for the first time in anger this weekend. Had erected it in our back garden once before. Despite only having 4 main poles for the dome it can be quite fiddly getting the tent to an upright position initially, Im not a fan of the 'pin on a ring system' that this tent uses. Once upright and opened out you need to take care with the tensioning of the guy ropes or else the front door will be stretched making opening and closing difficult, no such problems with the side door.
Once erected though the Invader600 is a superb tent with an awesome amount of space in the living area, the bedrooms are great with ample room to stand upright in. The mesh windows give plenty of ventilation, and the large front windows give plenty of light.
When we took the tent down it took us around 45 minutes including packing up, and we had no trouble getting it all back into the oversize bag provided.
Only reason I haven't given the tent 10/10 is because of the awkwardness of getting it to an upright position initially, however it may be more my fault than the tent design.

Dont know if you can leave a second (up-dated) review-but after last weekends attempt at underwater camping. The manufacturer states that the tent is designed for normal(?) weather/showers,after the weekends strong winds/heavy rain I thought I'd let you know how it performed. This was our 2nd time in the tent & although comfortable once pitched, pole alignment is still an issue (a vario 6 owner said the same of his). The tent survived the strong weather but there were signs of porousness in the top of the roof & the storm flaps tend to blow under the sidewalls - I'm thinking of adding eyelets so they can be pegged down & away from the tent,we found that the lateral support poles were wet, either from condensation or the seeping roof-these left rust stains on the inner bedroom (we were only away for the weekend!)Our previous tent suffered none of this. So maybe we will fabsil it just in case, to see if it helps - anyone else had these problems? Despite these niggles we are generally happy with it. It survived where a few others didn't! Its a good sized family tent & superb - in good weather!

Just returned from using our invader 600 for the first time. We didn't have instructions so it took a little trial & error (we bought it on impulse from e.Bay as a 'used once/as new')it didn't take long considering the size of it,our last tent (coleman bi-space 400)was a 4 berth, this is a 6-but what a difference-standing room in the bedroom, room for the family to dine in the living area, lots of storage pockets too! Don't know if ours is a 2007 model but the 2008 brochure lists roof windows (not needed) & half mesh side windows.Ours are full mesh windows-meaning if it rains you have to run out & close the outer curtains!Overall we are pleased with the tent, waterproofing & ventilation are good but tensioning the canvas & poles vs closing the doors was an issue.Maybe with practice things will be easier-going again in 2 weeks so maybe the tent will earn its 10/10.

Just returned from monsoon season in the new forest and the invader 600 was perfect! I can say that it has now been tested in both extreme weathers! superb. My only comment is that a few of the tie down toggles have come adrift, but like I say the weather was BAD! nothing that a quick tickle with a needle and cotton wont fix!
Good purchase

We've just returned from our first family camping trip and even though the weather was rubbish the tent was brilliant. Plenty of room for our 5 year old to play and plenty of storage space. I was really nervous about putting the tent up but it was really easy, very sturdy and stayed dry even after a 2 day downpour. I would recommend this to anyone - I can't wait to use it again!

We have just come back from our first camping trip in this tent and we were extremely impressed with it. There was 3 adults and 1 child and we found it spacious and comfortable with plenty room for storage as it has hanging storage pouches included. It was very windy and wet for the frist day but our tent kept us dry and sheltered as it is very sturdy. We can recomend this tent up to four people but not for 6 as it would be a little cramped!
