We've just upgraded from our trusty six man pod tent to this monster of a tent and we're really impressed.
Package: The bag this tent comes in is huge, and weighs in at 45kg in total with the poles included. It's split into two, with the top half for the tent and a separate bottom half for the sleeping pods. We also keep the poles in here, with a stout piece of card between the two to keep the sleeping pods safe.
Erecting: The instructions are ok and there's a video on the Vango website. But they make it look very easy! The ring and pin system is tricky. You can get one end in, but the other must be put under some serious tension to get the pins in, but once they're in, they aren't going anywhere.
The missus and I can have the tent up in about 50 minutes, with a little longer to peg out the guys, etc.
The space in the tent is great, plenty of room, 3 door options and plenty of large windows. The sleeping pods are good too as one can either be used as two pods, or the dividing section can be removed and used as a large bedroom (perfect for me and the missus, with our little'un in the other pod).
The porch area, with the new sides (an improvement over the old model) is great for cooking under and sitting out in the rain watching people run about!
Search the net for this tent, I got a great bargain at less than half the RRP.
Only problem is we've had to get a roof box as there's not enough room for the tent and everything else in the boot. But it's worth it, I think we were the talk of the site last time!

My Amazon 600 tent is very good and I would recommend this tent for a family. Plenty of space and fairly easy to put up with only 2 adults needed. The only thing I would moan about is that Vango do not sell different bedroom layouts for this or any Vango tent. It comes with a 2-2-2 bedroom layout but cos we have a baby on the way we wanted a 4-2 bedroom layout and thought we could phone up Vango and buy one but they do not provide this service unlike Outwell do, which is a little disappointing. But the tent is still very good and the quality is the best we have had just wish Vango would sell different bedroom arrangements for the inner.

Just changed my dome tent for this and what can I say. Wow!
It's really spacious and light inside so even on bad days you don't feel enclosed.
This new model has huge canopy which is enclosed at the sides.Excellent for shade in the sun and rain. Has fully enclosed groundsheet. Nothing's getting in this tent!
Bedrooms are excellent size and can zip out into a 4 person and a 2 person or 3 2 person rooms.
Tent is very sturdy even with inly 2 guys in when putting it up.Cant believe this tent. Its fab!

We love this tent, it's huge, plenty of space for us (adult, 2 teenagers) and all our kit (why do they have to have so much stuff?) plus visitors (we had 7 sitting down for dinner one evening and plenty of space still). Even him indoors was impressed and is starting to talk about coming with us next time (he's not 'the outdoors type'). The tent feels stable and secure and, although I worried about the eyebrows over the side doors in high wind, they never budged an inch and they do work at keeping the rain outside when the door is opened. It stood up to absolutely torrential rain with no problem, not a leak or a drip anywhere.
On the downside, we had one night of 45mph gusty wind which swung round and was hitting the front of the tent, not the back. It got under the porch awning, which managed to lift one of the pegs clean out of the ground, also there are only two places along the front to put pegs in so if you have strong wind like that blowing onto the front of the tent it does flap about and gets draughty and noisy. It could do with a couple of extra pegging loops along there. Apart from that, it stood up to the Lake District rotten weather very well. One year we'll go camping when it's dry and sunny!
We also managed to snap one of the S clips that holds the canopy to the porch uprights. I gather this isn't an unknown problem (according to our local camping centre), but the bit that was left still worked OK once we got it in.
The only other problem is the sheer weight of the poles. Maybe Vango could produce a wheeled bag for them too.
It takes me and the kids about 40 minutes to get it up, going carefully, and it does go back into the bag fairly easily as long as you take care when folding it. It does feel a bit unwelcoming when it's a gloomy or wet day, (all that grey), so we will be getting a carpet before next year. It's a great tent, as long as the wind isn't in the wrong direction.

As a family of 5 (inc 6yr old, 2yr old, and crazy black lab) we LOVE this tent. It has so much room, which is appreciated so much on those days the weather isn't very kind. We have had it up in torrential rain and very high winds and it stood up to it all.
Quite big to put up and def needs two, but it's very simple to put up, which kind of makes up for it. It's true the bedrooms only fit a double air bed but then as we say, you only sleep in them and we use the third to store all our clothes and get changed in, the living area certainly makes up for this.
Both side doors have fly nets, as does the front, which can also open 2/3rds of the front of the tent.
The porch area is great for cooking in, and this helps with the windbreak you can also buy to go with it.
Inside it has loads of hanging pockets, which is a godsend when you haven't got all those handy kitchen drawers like you have at home!
All in all a brill tent for long family holidays!

Wow what a fabulous tent!
We have just returned from our first camping trip in this tent and it has exceeded our expectations. We have 2 adults and 2 children in our tribe and with them growing at a rate of knots, we needed 3 bedrooms and a large living area (in case of inclement weather etc!).
The tent withstood a few downpours and gusty winds with no problems, although did have a slight rain leak (dribbles) from the EHU zip one day, but it was ok the next! It has dried out lovely and easily packs into the tent bag with no problems. Putting it up was easy and helps with the arm muscle toning (in my case!).
We feel that the only down side to this tent is half covered side sections of the canopy, if this was fully enclosed it would be absolutely perfect and also the front section of the tent seems to raise up a bit, but this didnt bother us when the SIG was put completely down at the door section.
If you buy this tent, you will not be disappointed!
Happy camping!

We recently brought this tent. We decided to go for a short break to the Suffolk coast to try out our new Amazon 600. Although the majority of the time the whether was nice the tent was just as reliable in wet and windy whether. It is extremely spacious inside and we needed more things to fill it with due to the extra room which our last tent had little of. The only downside was that due to it's brilliant size it did get a little chilly when the whether was poor, but thick sleeping bags and a heater would sort that issue out. An absolutely fantastic tent we would definitely recommend it, brilliant for families big or small.

We upgraded to this tent from a smaller Vango and it has so far been fantastic. It has been used in all weather conditions, torrential rain, winds and even a few days of really hot sun. We would have preferred a larger main bedroom plus one other, rather than three of equal size and the tent tends to flap a bit in high winds, but remains stable. Living space is great and nice to be able to sit round a table inside when it's raining, plenty of windows makes it feel light even on dull days. Outside porch area great to sit under and gives sheltered cooking area. We take about 30 mins to pitch and tent packs away in bag easily (although we keep the poles separate to keep the weight of the pack down, although the bag has wheels it is really heavy to lift into a car)

This was first used in anger for an 8 night stay in Suffolk. What a great tent, up in under an hour (first time), everything worked as expected, loads of room and no problem getting the double airbeds in.
Taking it down was a bit of a chore but that was more to do with us not really paying attention than the tent. Getting back into the back was tricky but we managed it after a second folding session!
Highly recommended.

Bought this tent from Towsure and put it up fairly easily after watching the DVD, however it had a rip in the side door, a broken pole and a toggle to attach storage pockets to right hand bedrooms missing. It was quickly replaced and we have camped in it 3 times so far this year. It is a very spacious tent although the bedrooms will not accommodate a standard width double air bed so check dimensions before you buy. The poles are VERY heavy when in bag but easy to slot together as spring loaded. We do find it difficult pitching with just 2 people if there is the slightest bit of wind, but pitching time is probably around 45 mins. Once up the bedrooms are very easy to toggle onto tent. My only other gripe would be 'over sized stuff bag' where on earth did they get this idea from?!

Manufacturer's Description
A new range of family tunnel tents that replaces the popular Vango Vail range. The Vango Amazon tents are steel poled tents which offer a cavernous (Stan saw the Beatles here), open living area and three spacious full height bedrooms. In addition, they also feature a fully sewn-in groundsheet which protects the occupants from the outside elements. Because it's such a large tent, great importance has been placed on allowing plenty of light into the space and so a large 'veranda' front door, two canopied side doors, multiple large panel 'Crystal Clear' windows and skylights have all been incorporated to maximum effect. Finally, the Vango Amazon's also come complete with a zip-on sun canopy - great for al fresco cooking and dining. The Vango Amazon 600 features 3 x 2-berth sleeping berth (which will sleep 6 adults comfortably) and all of which are removable.
Other features include a Protex 5000 durable polyester flysheet (5000mm hydrostatic head), taped seams, heavy duty Oxford external storm skirt, 3 mesh doors, mesh vents, colour coded Powerplus Steel poles, pre-angled poles for rigidity, flysheet first pitching, PE waterproof groundsheet, breathable polyester inners, storage pockets and hanging organisers, double zip windows (for 3 vent/light options), cable entry point, lantern hanging point, roller bag, repair kit. Flame retardant throughout.
