I got this tent this summer as my first tent, for weekends and longer holidays for me and my son. It was quick and easy to put up, and I have managed to put up the tent with the help of just two kids to hold the two side poles up while clipping in the larger middle pole! It is lightweight and packs small, and goes back into its bag easily.
The tent has plenty of space, including a large porch to store all your things in, which means you are not walking in and out of the bedroom all the time with muddy boots on. It is big enough to sit inside the porch, and tall enough to move around inside while low enough to put up easily. The flysheet does not attach to the porch groundsheet which gives great ventilation, but this means a small amount of water did get into the porch once in absolute torrential rain, trickled in one side of the ground sheet and out the other, not enough to be a problem if you store everything in plastic containers, the actual groundsheet dried out straight away. On all the other rainy days it stayed totally dry, and the plus side of this design is that you don't get puddles off your wellies. We had very heavy rain and strong winds when we were away and other than mentioned above there were no leaks (ie flysheet and groundsheet took loads of rain without any coming through from above or the ground) or condensation, and the tent was very stable in the wind.
We took a traditional double airbed and there was lots of room in the bedroom for the two of us and clothing etc, plus space to move about, so I think it would still be roomy for a family of 4. The mesh door in the bedroom allows you to ventilate it well so I never felt 'cooped up' at all. There are handy storage pockets and torch hooks inside, very well designed.
I have wondered if it would be better to have a tent with a bedroom at each end to go away with friends or for privacy as my lad gets older, but then I think this would compromise on the ease of putting it up and also on the airy feel and living space this tent has.
This tent is great value for money, easy to use (single mum friendly!), and great quality, I am very happy with this tent and looking forward to lots of future trips!

Just bought recently, we got the 08' model of this tent as the 07 had gone out of stock. First pitching took 15 mins including pegging out. Completely set up within 1 hour. The tent itself is very robust and stood up to wind and rain brilliantly with no leaks or breakages. The tent actually looks smaller than it is on the inside and it was very well spaced for 2 adults and a Labrador. I would try and cram 4 in however.
All in all and good tent for a good price. Vango have proven again that they make good value and sturdy tents
