We previously had a smaller Vango tent but we didn't like the fact that when you opened the side door, if it had been raining during the night you got water down the back of your neck! so the main reason for buying the Tigris 600 was the side door had a porch and now we can step out in the morning and remain dry. We love our new tent the bedroom is plenty big enough for 2 campbeds and has plenty room for your clothes and could easily sleep 4 on blow up mattresses. We haven't used the second bedroom so we can't comment on the size of it, but without the second bedroom the living space is huge and on a wet evening we have fitted 8 adults comfortably inside all seated with room for a table in the middle. We also like the fact that the ground sheet in the living area in totally integrated which makes it warmer if you camp early on in the year. We would definitely recommend this tent.

We're new to camping. Like a lot of people we were looking for a cheap alternative for family holidays.
Our pre-requisites were large living area, easy to erect, separate removable sleeping pods and enough room for someone my size (6'2') to move around in. On the back of that this tent was recommended to us by the guy in the shop.
We managed to pitch the tent in less than 45 minutes the first time. We've now got it down to less than 20 minutes with two adults. It's even possible to do it in around 30 on your own.
Size is perfect for us (mum, dad and 9 year old daughter) if you use the two main sleeping pods and leave the third out.
I would recommend getting the extension canopy for the cooking gear and boots, coats etc as this leaves you with a lovely large living area which is great to sit outside with the end door pegged open.
Can't fault this tent - one of the best purchases we've ever made. We've spent thousands on foreign family holidays over the years but never had as much fun as we did when we spent £96 to stay in a slightly windswept, rainy Northumberland last summer !

Have used this tent for 6 camping trips in 2009. 1st trip in Easter which was very wet and cold, the tent did every thing it's supposed to , kept us dry and warm. Plenty of room for my wife and 2 kids. Have no trouble putting it up and can do it now in under 20 mins. When we go camping with friends they all want our tent, what more can I say, worth every penny.

Great tent, very happy with it. Not bad to pitch, although will def take around 30 - 40 mins. Great storage, feel and good size pods - although the 3rd pod is def only meant for 1 person! Zip on porch door is hard to close as mentioned in reviews below. Great buy for the price, could be used in spring/summer/autum for a few days but maybe not substantial enough for the colder times.

We have used this tent a few times now and are pretty happy with it. Two downsides for us are, the zip on the front porch as mentioned in reviews below is a struggle. Also, the 3rd single pod is more intended for 1 person - I'm not convinced my 2 kids ( 1 and 3) would fit in together). On the upside, easy to pitch, great living space and storage, enough room in 2 double pods. Light and airy feel due to big windows. Love it but although we are only a family of 4, I think the canopy and tunnel extension may be added next year!

Having spent a week in a very wet Devon, I can report that overall I am very impressed with the Tigris 600. The tent went up very easily and there were no leaks despite almost continuous rain from the Monday through to the Saturday.
A couple of negatives though, as reported by others the brow pole does put a lot of strain on the main door zip as it passes the area that this pole attaches to the tent, also we suffered from quite a lot of condensation at the end with the single (side-ways) bedroom. Vango, please address the Brow Pole issue otherwise you will be getting numerous claims on your lifetime guarantee for broken door zips, also please improve the ventilation at the 'large door' end of this tent and the 'hang' of the single inner to keep it away from the tent wall.
Overall a very good tent for the price and a purchase which I am pleased to have made.

Used this tent for 4 days. Living area is big enough and the back bedrooms are fine for a couple using double airbed. The front 2 man bedroom was fine for our 2 younger ones top and tailing but it was wider and thinner than the other rooms as the side wall sagged down.
I also agree the door zip became strained when the porch was up.
Didn't leak and fairly easy to put up despite the rain and wind so I'd say it's a great tent for a few days but with 5 of us we would prefer something bigger.

We use the Tigris 600 for 4 of us, two adults and two children.
The tent goes up pretty easy although it does take longer than the 25 minutes specified. I've pitched it a few times now and still it takes between 45 mins to an hour complete with pegging out and hanging the inners. However this is mostly pitching on my own. For that reason it may not be suited to overnight stays unless you're happy with the effort in pitching it.
There's plenty of room inside and the main inner tents can accommodate a standard double mattress with no issues. We haven't used the extra 2 man pod by the front so I can't comment on its size.
Having 3 doors means that you can open up the tent to get plenty of air in when it's warm and like all polyester tents this one suffers from a fair bit of heat inside when it's hot. The inside also condensates a fair bit but that also seems typical of synthetic tents. We do however like its airy feel and the front opening with its canopy is great (especially as the king poles are included). We've had no issues with the porch making the door hard to zip but I understand that this may have been modified on the 2010 models so perhaps that's why.
Our tent has just been out for 3 days in pretty horrible rain and not a drop of water inside. It's especially useful having the porch as it keeps the wet out when getting in and out while it's raining.
The pegs that are included are a bit soft and bend easily when hammering them into hard ground. However there are plenty of them and more are of course readily available. I also noticed that my local camping store stocks a huge amount of Vango parts so I would imagine repairs are fairly easy to undertake.
The drop down groundsheet at the doorways is excellent and it's one of the things that made us choose the Tigris. It clips up nicely when it's raining too and the wet is kept out well.
Overall we really like our Tigris and would recommend it. For the price it represents a great and spacious tent with plenty of features.

An excellent tent. There are only two of us, so we're in luxury as far as space is concerned. Having said that, last year we met up with camping friends and had eight of us sat on chairs inside it, so there's bags of space.
We've used it for an 11 night trip to Brittany this year and enjoy the space it offers. We have the side (tunnel) extension which makes it more versatile, particularly for storing the cooking stand at night. It's very easy to pitch. The only concern I have is that the poles over the side entrance seem to put the fabric under a lot of strain, and this seems to result in tension to the door zip.

We have used our Tigris 600 3 times this year-bought due to the reviews on this site. I love the fact that I can pitch it on my own . There is plenty of room for 4 of us. Side extension works well. We did have leaks in awful weather in Cornwall this year-thought I would mention this as no one else appears to have had a problem. That said-the weather was AWFUL for 24 hours! and the leaks not too bad!
I would recommend buying it but agree with other reviews about the 2 man bedroom pod not being 'quite right' & the porch putting too much stress on the door.
