What a tent, absolutely love it, easy to erect although instructions are not the best, 4 great bedrooms, lots of living space our family of 5 have ample room. Becomes very light / airy when the windows are open. Yes the front door could do with valcro at the bottom and is a bit tight to close, but once done a couple of times becomes a lot easier.

Used it once so far so good. Lots of room, kids love it. Kept us nice and dry in a thunder storm. Can get a bit cold on a night, a couple of blow heaters recommended, it's a big tent to warm up. One problem is geting place to pitch with hookup and not having to pay through the nose for two pitches. It does not take too long to but up can have it up in half an hour but it is a two man job .

After buying our (1st Corado 8) in August last year we have had nothing but problems. After getting our (2nd Corado 8)in September we had the same problems with that one, then getting our 3rd we learnt our lesson. The first one, all the bedrooms snapped in a bit of wind that we had whilst camping. We took it back to the shop and complained the shop gladly replaced it with 2nd one. We went away in September thinking that would be problem solved 'it must have just been a faulty tent' and we encountered the same again. All of the bedrooms were snapping off the elastics. Also when we opened it one of the pins for the back leg was missing, we ended up having to tie it to a tree. We then went back to the shop and got the tent replaced AGAIN! We went camping in the Easter holidays this time I had to re-stitch over all of the elastics and the support ties on the rooms before we went.

This seemed to sort the problem right out. So I can only recommend that any1 buying the Corados, re-stitch all the ties & elastics before you go camping.:(

Other than that (our bungalow) lol tent is really very spacious and very sturdy, a good family tent.

We love this tent - it is HUGE. As a family of six this tent saw us comfortably through two weeks of camping in Devon. Even when it rained we stayed cheerful. The kids got lost in it. The downside is once packed up it is still big and when loaded into my car there is no room for anything/anybody else. Perhaps that is not a downside!

Recently brought this tent due to more than a few problems with khyam bought all the stuff with it carpet etc. Very easy to erect a little heavy but sturdy on completion like the long bar that fits the whole length of the tent. On completion this tent is huge. Now the bad points: the front door doesn`t close all the way round and the bedrooms are not great in size or design. The webbing anchor points are a complete let down, all the roof points need to be elasticated, ours ripped off. We have exchanged the tent along with a fellow camper with the same problem so design change is needed I think but on the whole this tent is huge and good value in the go outdoors sale. But fear i`m going to encounter the same problems with the rooms

We are by no means experienced campers, but as a family of 5 (two adults and three small boisterous boys) we have tried and tested several tents and now are starting to understand what we want from our camping accommodation.

If you are looking for a tunnel tent then you eventually are left with three choices - first off is Steel or Fibreglass poles - we wanted strength with steel so that excluded the Khyam one and narrowed it down to this tent or an Outwell one. If you are a tent snob then pay the extra Ł200-Ł300 for the Outwell name and the extra bit of waterproofing - but that seemed silly to me HH3000 is easily waterproof enough and there is nothing wrong at all with this tent.

Six strong steel roof support poles - good solid pegging spots, excellent guy ropes - all quality gear and simple to put together. Four double individual bedroom pods give you lots of choices and if you want to leave a room out this increases your living space even more.

We have trips to Anglesey and Cornwall planned this summer and we cannot wait to enjoy this tent some more.

I bought this tent in January and I was like an little excited kid, couldn't wait for the camping season to start. A few weeks ago I erected it on a bit of common and it was a beauty. Last weekend the wait was over and I took my kids camping proper, it got plenty of comments and I was proud as punch. This weekend was a very different story. It was fine Friday and Saturday but Sunday got a bit windy. It wasn't exactly gale force but was persistently strong wind. I went to the swimming baths and when I returned, my camping neighbours were frantically trying to save my tent from being blown over the field. The front had ripped itself apart and the bedroom anchors had ripped off, I couldn't wait to take it down this morning. I drove straight from the campsite to the shop where I bought it from and swapped it with an Outwell Montana 6. And so the excitement begins again. Personally I wouldn't buy another Hi-Gear tent ever again.

Having previously owned an Outwell sun valley 8 ( which got absolutely hammered in windy conditions) I decided I wanted a tent that didn't have carbon fibre poles. Saw this tent in the shop and fell in love with it. The 4 separate bedrooms will mean that all the kids who are now approaching teenagers would be able to have a bedroom of their own. The steel poles also give me a bit more hope! We purchased the tent last week and decided to pitch it in the garden at the weekend. The tent was pretty straight forward to erect and was lovely and spacious. Love the attached awning, which will provide a lovely area to cook in.

The only thing I wasn't keen on was the front door didn't seal all the way around which was a bit of a problem for the dog meaning she could slip through it and be out, and also if there is any wind, the draft blows through it, although this will be sorted once I have purchased some heavy duty velcro!. My kids and I decided we would sleep out in it and we were fine apart from being cold, although it is still April.

We will be camping in may so will update again.We also purchased the footprint which was brilliant for saving the underneath of your tent and also the carpet made for it which was lovely on the feet. Quite straight forward to take down too.

Have not tried it out yet! Cant wait, just waiting for the weather to pick up. Saw it pitched up in the shop, it was so big, it has got 4 bedrooms, you can take 2 down so it makes the living area even more bigger. I paid Ł430.00, guy in the shop said the price was going to be put up at some point. Give it 10 out of 10 just for the size of it. Will update when I have tried it out.
