Absolutely love this tent. As first time campers we spent ages looking at different tents and opted for this one - so glad we did. We found it fairly easy to put up as the instructions were clear. Took us probably 40 minutes which as new campers and having done no practise put up I am pleased with. Lots of space for two adults and a child. We struggled to get hold of a footprint, though found one by chance in Exeter Go Outdoors. Cannot get hold of the porch so I've bought the mojave 5 porch as I'm told it will fit.
We camped in thunder and lightening and heavy downpours last week and the Voyager 6 kept us warm and dry. We think this is a fantastic tent on the cheaper end of the market. Can't wait to use it again. Just need a bigger car to carry all our camping gear in now!

We purchased ours due to the space it provided as a stand alone tent but soon decided to also buy the porch that compliments it,together they are massive but do not be put off by this. The wife and I erected it in no time following the instructions sewn into each bag.
All in all a superb tent with more than generous room and ease of pitching.
Would recommend you also buy the footprint/carpet/porch for a very complete package which we are very pleased with

First time campers and very happy we chose this tent. Purchased the tent, porch, carpet and footprint for a bargain price from Go Outdoors. Even after reading some mixed reviews found this tent to be perfect for our family of four.
Easy to erect. Even for newbie campers had tent up, porch on and carpeted in under an hour.
Didn't really have 'extreme' weather but had a fair bit of wind and rain but stayed snug and dry inside.
Loads of living room inside and never felt cramped or under each others feet.
Easy to drop at the end of our trip with everything accounted for and packed in about 40 minutes.
Overall a fantastic tent, perfect for a family of four and we can't wait for our next trip away

Our first ever tent we bought on the back of a few recommendations from friends it turned out to be absolute bargain [on offer from go outdoors]
Easy to erect it took less than 30 mins first time and about 20 mins after that
The footprint and carpet are a must they make all the difference but the best thing is the porch we got this when really cheap from go outdoors it does take a bit longer to set up than the tent as its a bit fiddly but it makes the tent massive with all the storage and you can leave your shoes off also the rain cant get in with the door open
Anyway a real good tent that stands up to some pretty heavy weather [believe me we know] quick to get up quick to get down it looks good as we've had quite a few admiring remarks
I would heartily recommend to anyone thinking of buying a tent as we love it

We have just used our Voyager 6 for the first time for a weeks stay. I was a bit apprehensive about buying this tent as we also own a Outwell Georgia xl tent. However we are delighted with this tent, the quality is excellent, it is so easy to pitch and the room inside is tremendous. We bought the footprint and the carpet from Go Outdoors in addition, which adds to the excellent quality of this tent. This tent represents fantastic value for money.During our stay at Staxton near Scarborough, we had wind, and rain and the tent performed superbly, no leaks, and completely airtight.Thoroughly recommended.

This is the first time we used this tent. Very spacious, very easy to put up with the colour coded poles and getting the carpet was a brilliant idea as it makes it feel so much warmer on the feet! the sleeping compartments are spacious, like the zip for the electric hook up. Easy to put up and take down, and it withstands thunder storms and torrential rain easily ! no leaks.
I have had various tents over the years but this by far is the best one ive bought, for 2 people, for space and ease. Would def recommend

Each time we have camped in the Voyager 6, it has survived our British weather, no leaks! The only issue is the same already stated in so many reviews. If you open the door when it's raining, the way the flaps are made allows water in. That said, this tent gave us loads of room. At one point there were four children and three adults in the 'living' space (my turn to host dinner!). Cosy but not cramped! It goes up fairly quickly with two adults putting it up. Lots of pockets to fill and I particularly like having the windows that let in natural light. I have only stayed away for four nights at a time, but this tent would be ideal for longer camping trips too.

Im a first time camper with 3 children aged 1,5 and 12 yrs. This tent is brilliant for a family as its spacious and bright. I put the tent up with my 12 yr old son and found it so easy as everything was colour co-ordinated. Putting the tent down was just as easy and it even went back in the bag with no trouble.

I got our Voyager 6 two weeks ago after a rather impulsive two day discussion about the benefits of camping for our three boys, (3-9-13) and bought the tent as it was coming to the end of it's sale price - we got it for £170. I originally was looking at one of the bigger Hi Gear Tents as I wanted three separate rooms. When I saw the size of this, and the fact that the larger room does split into two, I purchased this one. Subsequently bought the footprint (you have to get this, it made pitching it so much easier) and the carpet. First pitch took about an hour and a half but I know I will do it in an hour next time.
One thing that did concern me was the bedroom sizes (120CM width and 240 Width) as it's a 6 berth tent I was wondering how a combination of single (74cm) or double (134cm) mattress would sleep 6. But as the bedroom inners are loose fitting, (ie they aren't fixed to the floor in that size, and that there is a gap between the two rooms and the outside skin of the tent, somehow the double mattress goes into the smaller room meaning three double mattresses will go in total allowing a full sleep for 6 (unless you want to go for the smaller padded mattresses or just the pads - sorry my camping jargon/lingo isn't up to scratch yet)
Some good advise given to me which I can confirm helped me - peg the footpring, then peg the four corners of the tent, then insert the poles (but be very careful not to snag the tent when pushing through - don't pull the poles through always push) and then get someone to go inside at the middle where the main two poles cross after inserting the poles into the black pegs at one side - then as the person inside lifts the tent it becomes a relatively easy process to get the other two ends of the cross poles into the other black pegs.
I cannot wait to get this out camping in the lake district hoping for first weekend in August!

We recently bought this as an upgrade from a 4 man tent. We used it for the first time on a week's trip to Hastings (July 2012). The weather was awful, but the tent stood up to it all. There were no leaks even through the most horrendous downpours.
We found it extremely spacious, and with the foot print and carpet, it was very warm. When the sun did shine, the 2 doors meant that it did not get too warm inside.
There are plenty of windows and air vents to keep it bright inside.
We managed to put it up within the hour on our first go, but this will be very much reduced next time if the rain stays away!

Manufacturer's Description
A strong, stable and spacious 6-person tent with large windows and generous headroom.
Built using a strong semi-geodesic structure, the Hi Gear Voyager Elite 6 is an easily-pitched tent with room to accomodate 6 campers and all their gear.
It has a large, full-standing-height bedroom area, which can be adapted to convert some of the space into storage quarters if needed.
The groundsheet is sewn in, meaning you get no unwanted draughts, moisture or bugs getting in. Multiple windows (and mesh panels) let you control how much sunlight gets in, and maintain your privacy. The large front door and additional side door give you easy access for you and your gear, and also let you control ventilation.
It's stable enought to stand up to very windy conditions, with the cross-pole design giving it extra strength and flexibility.
A versatile tent that's great for families, groups of friends or festival-goers - and don't forget, you can add extra comfort and insulation by choosing the Hi Gear Voyager Elite Carpet, and extend your sheltered space by adding on the Hi Gear Voyager Elite 6 Porch.
