Fab tent! Highly recommend getting the 'footprint' - used it for the first time this weekend and it made putting the tent up so much easier and kept the groundsheet of the main tent perfectly dry then only had the footprint to dry off. Had the tent a couple of years now and love it, although I agree with the comments that it's a bit too much for a weekend unless there's a few people. We've just done a weekend with 4 adults and it's been ok, but would have been too much with just 2 of us! Anyway - well worth it!

I absolutely love this tent very spacious easy to put up and very cosy, all sewn in ground sheets and very spacious awning which we use as our kitchen.

We love it!

It has plenty of room in the pods and a very large living area in the centre dome, we have a 2 year old son now and we haven't taken him camping since he was a baby and we will be taking him in august to Harlyn sands in Cornwall and I'm sure he will love it.

We went camping a year ago and the weather was terrible I remember half way through the night the wind and rain was that bad I said this tents going to take off. It didn't, we got up and every tent in the field except ours was standing in perfect condition everyone else had to go home with bent poles bless them, really good for bad weather you're very safe.

We bought this tent as a last seasons model and have used twice so far, both times we have had wind and rain. Our last outing was to PortPatrick on the west coast of Scotland for the last may bank holiday, it was so windy that my wife 2 daughter and self needed help from 5 other gents to help hold down the large fly sheet. The tent withstood the strong winds and only let rain in due to an air bed pushing one bedroom out under the fly sheet. It has a spacious central room and the porch holds loads of kit. I cant fault it so far.

We bought ours in the autumn of 2007 and used it 4 times in 2008 and are planning a similar number of trips this year. So far so good. We had awful weather in Devon last year but managed to stay dry. Pitching fairly straightforward but lots of pegging and it can be tricky to get the fasteners for the outer over the rings of the inner. The lack of a proper sewn in ground sheet for the porch is also a bit of a weakness as there are not enough to make a proper bathtub. Damage so far, small hole in groundsheet and one of the pole sleeves has a small rip (need to watch that one.)

Great tent we (family of 5+dog+friend)used this quite a few times in many weathers. Pro's: layout, space, space to cook indoors, weatherproof, quite easy to pitch. Cons: inner tent goes up first, some difficulty getting the outer over and in the right place. On the whole a very good family tent.

This is our 3rd Diablo but our 1st XP and whilst the extra poles in the bedrooms make a huge difference the negatives of the later 2008 model over the older 600 model seem odd. The porch does not have storm skirts any longer and the bathtub ground sheet dose not fit well enough to keep out the rain. The door zips are now all single zips so your not able to use the vents at the top of the inner doors without completely unzipping the outer door and finally don't tension the guylines on the now external porch poles as you would normally as this pulls on the inner tent and the main door zip is then put under extreme tension. These issues aside still a great tent with loads of space, just a shame its coming to an end.

Found this tent takes quite a while to pitch, when it's up it has lots of space and would be good for a week/2 weeks. I've found it too much hassle for the weekend though. On our last trip out it was windy when we un-pitched it and we found that it needed 4 people to hold on to it, good job we had friends with us.

Excellent large family tent. Takes 2 adults to put it up and takes about an hour to put up, and the same again to take down.

Ours is the 2008 600XP model with two poles per bedroom pod, so loads of space in the bedrooms. Plenty of handy little storage pockets and the porch is big enough to store loads in it, freeing up space for the already vast inner living space.

Cable entry points at the front and the rear, central lamp hanging point at the apex of the main living area, and velcro points up several seams to train a power cable to the hanging lamp.

Would benefit from the addition of a set of King Poles to stretch out the front porch door.

Fantastic tent - very impressed!

I bought one of these tents in the half price sale at GoOutDoors to replace the rip off eBay tent I never used. As it was last minute purchase I never had chance to even check everything was there never mind erect.

It ticked all the boxes for me:-

2 internal separate bedrooms

Spacious living area

Sewn in groundsheet

Colour coded poles

Attached lines

Double skin

The porch was as it turned out a great bonus, although I never managed to figure out the two metal poles with studs they stayed in the bag and the door was rolled up with the attached elastic cords.

I had to erect the tent on my own in the rain, which was a daunting task, the instructions where not very useful but everything went smoothly, help was needed to pull over the flysheet luckily someone from the next tent who was watching me erect just took it upon himself to walk over and help!

Having then pegged down and sat down with a deserved coffee, The space was amazing, I could of parked the car inside.

I then noticed the handy light holder in the middle of the tent, which in turn unfortunately triggered the thought that I had forgot to bring a light! DOH

I was camped in the middle of a field and the wind was strong and rain was heavy, but the tent stood as still as my house, solid and most importantly dry for the whole weekend, condensation was not a problem either. Result for me!

Packing up was also very easy and without any fuss the tent fit straight into the oversized bag which was an forgotten but handy feature of this tent.

Best I've had so far and hopefully will be with me for some time.

We had 2 Vango Diablo 600 xp's in the space of 3 weeks. The first one, all the inner tent came away from the seams. The second one, we took away for 2 weeks to Devon, had that many problems, with coming away at the seams, toggles missing, leaking really badly in 1 bedroom, it came with a hole in the outer tent, where the porch is. Lovely size family tent, but we've been put off with all the problems we've had. We're now looking for an outwell, and are considering the wolf lake 7. Shame, as it has fab space for a tent of this size and we found it so easy to pitch.
