We love this tent it is huge. I agree with one of the comments you do have to allow for an argument when putting this tent up. We had loads of space and was the envy of the other campers on our site. Have invested in footprint & carpet this year. My only problem was I couldn't get the porch right better look this year.

Ab fab I would say for the Vango Diablos. The space you have is huge, we have one of those blow up sofas in ours tv and fold up chairs , all in the living area. The bedrooms are a good size and being 5ft I can stand up in them at the front.
It has a sewn in ground sheet everywhere and the living area has two layers the fly sheet and the inner just like the bed rooms so this makes it warmer than most tents.
The porch is big enough to house our kitchen fridge and all the shoes and brollies.
We have put this tent up in pouring rain last summer (wwhich was the worse summer I have seen for a while), it poured we did try and wait to see if it would slow but in the end just made a run at it, with the inner going up first I was not looking forward to it, by the end we were both drenched but the tent inside had very little water in it which wiped dry easily the inner sheet itself was bone dry.
Love my tent.Love the smell the size and the warmth it has to other makes.
I also like being the envy of other campers.

We have had several trips in our Diablo and would echo the comments of the previous posts; this is a super tent for a growing family offering space and privacy. I have a boy of 10 and a girl of 12 and they like to hide away in their pods for some p&q. We will be spending 2 weeks in ours this summer; I will be pleased to have the indoor space esp if it's wet. My hubby is 6ft+ and he can stand up inside without touching the roof.
However, the big size can be a problem; many formal divided caravan sites (Camping and Caravan Club are particularly snotty about this) will not accommodate us but farm field sites are fine.
You certainly need two people to erect it and care is needed to get the shape right so it doesn't sag. It takes about 90 mins allowing time for arguing! It is certainly not a quick overnight stay tent.
It stands up well to bad weather; the porch is the most vulnerable area as it sticks out. Overall a most impressive tent esp when viewed lit up from inside in the evening! The circus has come to town!

This is a BIG tent. When we were looking for our first tent we visited a few showrooms and we instantly liked the space the 900 offered.
The porch size is excellent, easily accommodating your cooking apparatus plus a few chairs. There is a side door in the porch to open when cooking. All three bedroom pods are a good size, myself and my wife having no problems sharing one pod. The pods are not of sufficient height to stand up in. All doors both internal and external have fly screens as well as solid material. The main living area is huge, easily accommodating my family of 4 plus friends when the weather is bad.
We have managed to get the erection time down to 50-60 minutes fully pegged out, however have not yet had to erect it in the rain. This could be a slight problem due to the fact it is a pitch inner first.
Pitch size is big so worth mentioning before booking a site as many will not let you on.
It stands up to bad weather brilliantly. Have camped in pouring rain and howling winds with no issues.
All in all a great tent which I wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Agree with Paul+Wendy re the bedroom height though it's not too bad. There are two HUGE problems for me with the Diablo 900 XP. The first is its size and shape. A lot of campsites won't take it cos it's simply too big for their pitches. The other problem we have found is the fact you erect the inner tent FIRST, so if it's raining when you're pitching you are stuffed! (although I think on the new Diablo, Vango have altered this and the outer tent goes up first)
The pluses for us are as follows:
1) The big porch bit. Very useful
2) The huge size. Family of 5 and it's raining .No problem and invite your friends in too
3) The sewn in groundsheet. I'm never having a 'loose' one again
4) The availability of spares. One of our poles split and it was very easy to order a new one
5) The stability of the tent in the wind (we chose the tent partly because of this. Having camped on a very cliff top in Cornwall we went around the tents on the site working out which design blew about the least. Because I DON'T like it when my portable home is swaying enough to take off!
6) All those bits and bobs which you do get with a quality tent.Pockets, flyscreens, good quality fittings. We had a cheap tent before this and believe me, you DO get what you pay for!

“A DEGREE IN ENGINEERING NOT REQUIRED'
(Like Some)
To erect this tent however it does take two people and around 45 minutes of your time.
It does come with a DVD to show you how to erect the tent BUT its not the easiest way!
Below is a quick step by step guide how to do it! and, it works for me.
This has to be one of the best value for money tents you can get for the size and admin area. It is also very sturdy when up and very weatherproof. If you want height and space this is the one for you. There are also many accessories to be got now days like special made carpets sun canopies etc. Your comfort level increases with each purchase only trouble is you may need a bigger car and will need a large pitching area, so the option to squeeze on a site does not exist anymore. Have a little tent just in case I suppose!
Anyway you can see I like this tent and I did look around before purchasing its smaller Diablo 600s few years back I have never once regretted buying the 900xp
Be warned
Folk will stare and passersby will comment “my my that’s a big one”
Much to your satisfaction of course.
Important notice
If you think it may be too windy to try and put this tent up, you’re probably right, unless of course you have plenty of help.
Well, as promised, this I find is the best way to erect your Vango Diablo 900XP
Inner
1. Spread out and line up with your chosen direction.
2. Open main door zip.
3. Feed through main poles.
4. One of you go inside and lift from the centre as high as you can.
5. Insert poles into pins as usual (main poles first).
6. Feed through the grey bedroom poles and place into the correct pins
7. Then feed small bedroom poles through (red) and place in pins as you go.
8. Ensure all doors are zipped up.
9. Peg out as required, don’t peg out too tight as you will struggle with the doors later.
That’s the easy bit out the way
Outer
Top Tip
The wise person has ensured all guide lines have been re rolled before packing away from the last time, if you don’t your lines will cross and tangle and will make this bit much more difficult (trust me I learnt the hard way)
1. Open up sheet and spread out to get your orientation find the porch /corridor.
2. Loosen all tension and adjuster straps.
3. Drag the outer sheet over from front to rear leaving the porch over the main door
(this can be a bit tricky).
4. Use the tents two tone colour patches to line your outer over your inner. Don’t rush this bit, take your time and get it right first time. If your tent is lined up correctly and not hanging over one side the tent really does look the part.
5. Connect adjuster straps to rings and put a few pegs in to keep in place.
6. Insert poles into porch area and readjust outer until the porch is correctly lined up and put a few pegs in.
7. Now! Step back, have a look and make the final adjustments and tweaks.
8. Finish pegging and guide lines.
If you have never been in this tent and this is the first time you walk in you will amazed at the room you have.
Happy camping

Brilliant tent, very well thought out design copied by other tent maufacturers but never as well made as Vango and with a life time guarantee you cant go wrong.
Only one criticism, the bedroom height could have been better
