We also bought the recent package deal from Go Outdoors. It has to be the best £260 we have ever spent. The tent is easy to put up especially with the footprint as it lines the tent up and pegging down is more accurate. The porch was a bit of a mare to put up but worth it in the end. The tent remained clutter free as everything was stored neatly in the porch. You do however need to buy a separate groundsheet as it does not come with one.

When packing the tent just remember the width of the folded tent has to be roughly the same size as the pole bag, then just roll the tent around the poles. It did take us 2 attempts but it was easy when we got it right.

This is probably the best tent we have ever owned and we are really looking forward to our Isle of Wight trip in August

We have found this tent to be ideal for the size of our family. As a rule there is normally 5 of us that go camping and have found it to have more than enough space for us. The living space is more than large enough for all the bits and bobs, considering we have 3 kids with us that are over 16 years old. We don't have the porch and still find it roomy enough for us. It has held up in strong winds and not a leak after heavy rain. The only thing we would love to know is what is the secret to getting it all back into the bag it was bought in. It is possible to put up with 2 people and military precision. We would recommend this tent to anybody (even the first time camper) as it is so easy to put up and is very sturdy considering the size.

Recently purchased one from Go Outdoors for £150 and what a bargain we got, excellent tent withstood a heavy beating from the rain and dried quickly. Easy to put up, easy to put away has been put up 3 times now and every time fits in the bag with not problem. There is plenty of space for sleeping and living in on rainy days plus plenty of headroom and option to turn door into a canopy with poles which are include as standard.

Downsized this year to a zenobia6 + Porch from a sahara6 + Canopy as it was just too big - there are (mostly) only the two of us and the sahara is just too big.

Good Points:

- Fantastic value as a bundle with tent, porch, carpet and footprint. (One week deal from gooutdoors - I'm sure it'll be back!)

- Very simple to pitch not too many guys, and much lighter and smaller than the sahara when packed.

- Porch (2011 model) is great - has a door or the whole front zips off and big windows letting in plenty of light

- Ventilation is good with both doors outsides rolled leaving nearly the whole doors area screened.

- Hookup zips on both sides of tent so I can run hookup in from back and an extension out to the porch for fridge and kettle etc.

- This years model does NOT have the end door of previous models - I haven't missed it!

- Footprint keeps groundsheet clean and aids lining unit up on site.

- Plenty of room in living area, with porch (and cheapo gooutdoors groundsheet) it feels much larger - the porch feels like part of the tent.

Niggles:

Porch is a pain to get to fit right as it doesn't (quite) fit snugly to the sides of the tent leaving a small gap no matter what I did. (I tried the canopy pretty much central - next time I'll try centered on the door NOT the tent)

Zip on the door is sometimes a bit tight to close, especially if the storage hanger next to it is full.

We've had this tent for two years now and absolutely love it! We even went to Belgium in it for two weeks last year! It's easy to put up, spacious enough for 4 of us, even with 5 it's not bad for a short period of time. We bought the porch and carpet last year and that makes the world of difference to the living area when away for longer trips. Our porch is blue and the main tent is green but we don't care! We actually had people asking us about it in Belgium. Our children are now 8 and 5 so lots of muddy feet and going in and out but the tent is still in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend it!

We bought this tent from Go Outdoors (Stockport) last June,(2010) for £250.We took it to Conway a few weeks later to try it out.We were very impressed with how easy it was to put up.Once erected, it was great to see how much room there was. Myself & my wife had one sleeping pod & the dog had the other plus our clothes & equipment. There was piles of room in the centre bit for chairs tables etc.

The weather was a bit dodgy at times with wind & heavy rain (normal camping weather for us) but the tent stood up to it superbly & we had no problems with leaks.

Overall a great buy but for me the sleeping pods are only big enough for two people in each, therefore it is an ideal four berth & not six.

We have recently purchased this tent at a great price from Go-Outdoors.

We also own a Caplan 5, which is a little snug for 2 adults, a 12 year old and 2 lovely greyhounds!, hence we decided to buy a bigger tent for family camping trips and relegate the (adored) Caplan 5 for trips when it's just hubby and me.

The decision to buy another Hi-Gear was based on how impressed with were with the Caplan 5 and what a good decision that was!

What another LOVELY tent! very easy to put up - same as the Caplan just more poles! Very cosy inside (we pitched locally at the end of September so needed out heater!). Loads of room with the additional bedroom (our 12 year old brought a friend with her so loved having her own room for a 'sleepover'!).

Loved the storage pockets on both sides of the living area for all the bits 'n' bobs.

We also bought the matching Zenobia porch which was very handy to have in our British, drizzly, cold weather!

The porch was used for cooking/storage during the day and also housed our camping toilet at night so no need for chilly trips to the toilet block.

I cannot fault this tent and can't wait for our next trip!

Fast and furious. We also use just 1 bedroom pod for the 2 of us which leaves so much living space. The only thing I would change is the side vents next to the door! These should have a zip on them or Velcro so you have the option of keeping the warmth in! But the tent all in one design is perfect for keeping out the creepy crawlies and the damp. We got it in a sale at Go Outdoors for half price so it was a bargain. All we need now is unbreakable tent poles!

This is a fantastic tent and easy to put up and take down, fits back in the bag no problem, keeps out the rain and wind, roomy, modern and damn right good, we love it. It has two bedrooms (optional) and plenty of space in the living area, also comes with additional storage pockets that button on the inside of the tent for all your toiletries etc, comes with extra poles so you can have a mini awning on one of the doors and thats another good thing there are 2 doors to let the air through when its hot, sewn in ground sheet so no bugs etc, we bought the porch too for extra room and to sit in if it got chilly I also managed to fit a table in it too so very alfresco! well worth investing in a foot print just to protect the bottom of the tent as we want to keep this tent for a long time. Its so easy to put up, all the bendy poles are colour coded its amazingly idiot proof, if you are a first time camper then this is for you, highly recommended.

I've just been to Cornwall for the wettest fortnight in my camping history.

The tent stood up great to the torrential downpours and gale force winds on a couple of nights as well.

The only drawback was in the living area the ventilation is not good if you have torrential rain and could possibly benefit from a vent similar to the bedrooms.
