Fab first tent for us novice campers me, hubby and 3 yr old son! Did a dummy run in back garden and had it up in about 30 mins, instructions sewn into tent bag big help and straightforward.
Took it to Lakes for our first trip on a very hot weekend, again no problems and took us only about 20 mins this time.
LOADS of room in living area which is huge bonus, in fact we felt ours was really bare as we had our chairs etc outside! Bedroom pods great, we made two into one so we could all fit in and managed a double and single airbed running length of pod no problem and still with room to boot!
It did get very hot inside, even with vents, etc open but hey would rather that then wind and rain!
Easy to put away and get back into bag.
Overall, no negatives so far (however not tested yet in gales or lashing rain!) and for price on deal at go outdoor of £129 we are v happy campers indeed and cant wait for our second outing!

The wife and I took our tent to the lakes last week, the voyager 6 is a fantastic tent. The living space is huge plenty of room for tables and chairs. It went up very easy mind you putting it back in the bag took a few attempts so take a tip from me take notice when you unfold it it helps later. We also bought a footprint ,which is great because it keeps the sewn in ground sheet clean. I would recommend this tent to anyone.

Following excellent unbiased advice and service from the staff at the Newcastle branch of Go-outdoors, I decided to purchase this tent. I have never put a tent up before and had visions of opening the bag to find loads of loose poles and a set of instructions like that used in flat pack furniture. However, I needn’t have worried, the staff gave me a demonstration of how easy it was to put up, and they explained the different materials used in the manufacture, and their different properties. They also advised what spares to carry so in the event that any thing did happen we were armed with the tools to put it right and not ruin our first trip.
I could not believe the service you would think I was spending thousands of pounds not a couple of hundred. In fact, I have had worse service when buying a house.
It was time for a dummy run in the local park. Armed with my new found knowledge, (dangerous),and an excellent set of instructions, so simple, my 13 year old son read them and gave me and the wife a running commentary as we put the tent up. We had no problems at all, no stress, no arguing, no murders, nothing, I couldn’t believe it, the tent and sleeping pods were up in less than an hour, and that is by someone who has never even opened a tent bag before. I’m sure we could half that next time.
As for the tent it has loads of room inside, the built in ground sheet and the separate sleeping pods make it a comfortable home from home. The build quality appears to be as good as other more expensive tents I’ve looked at. It was red hot when erecting it but I noticed a nice breeze of cool air coming through the mesh air vents as I was putting pods in, this was very reassuring as I’ve read that it can get pretty hot inside modern synthetic tents.
Overall first impressions: I am delighted with my purchase and can’t wait to use it properly. We even managed to get it back in the bag without any fuss

We went to go outdoors, saw this tent bought it & went camping the same day! To say we have never put a tent up before and are new to camping it took us 30-40 mins with no effort no problems.
This tent is perfect for us and our 1year old as we can fit a double airbed & travel cot in the same bedroom. We use the other bedroom for storage but big enough for double airbed to.
Living area is extremely spacious plenty room for 2 chairs table and little ones to play. I recommend people to get the carpet it is fantastic for comfort & feels more like home from home. It was really warm when we went camping & full of fly so I'm happy we could keep cool & there is fly nets on all openings and air vents.
I cant really think of and down sides only that when you put tent up make sure the zips at bottom where electric wires can run through are closed properly as we had a tiny gap and a few unwanted bugs came in.
Overall fantastic
Well done voyager!

I first saw this tent while I was backpacking at a campsite in Wales, it was a really windy day and I decided to have a look round the family tents as I was planning to take my wife and 2 year son camping later in the year.
Out of all the big tents on the site their was one tent that stood out for me and that was the voyager 6, it seemed to be the most stable in the wind I also liked the very generous porch area (thats 2.2m high!).
3 months later go outdoors had a summer sale and I bought the tent at a bargain price!
Me and my family tried the tent out for a weekend last week, after a couple of practises in the garden me and my wife pitched the tent in no time without any stress even with an excitable 2 year old.
The tent itself has plenty of windows that let a lot of light into the porch area and you can close them all for privacy. There are ventilation points all over the tent that work well. The tent has 2 sleeping rooms one is a 4man (with a divider down the middle) and the other is a 2 man. We managed to get 2 double air beds in the 4 man room so the 3 of us had plenty of space and were very comfortable, we used the 2 man to store clothes and equipment.
We bought a footprint on the way back from our holiday and I wish I thought to buy one before we left so I'd recommend a footprint and maybe a carpet.
We love this tent and we cant wait to use it again.
Well done Hi Gear!

Outstanding tent, set up in minutes.Plenty of space for cooking and living area. Is says a six berth. But plenty of space for 4 person, two doors one to the front and one to the side, we used the front mainly due to how we set up our cooking utensils. But would be looking to use the side door . Plenty of height I'm 6ft and could stand up easy. Would recommend to anybody to buy it.

We bought this tent from Go outdoors as we were shopping for our first tent and after lost of shopping around and endless visits to go outdoors we decided on this and was the best buy ever, we got it on special offer and bought the footprint and carpet too. It was easy to put up and when up very spacious, with two bedrooms, and a very good sized living area. Has handy storage pockets and lots of windows and 2 doors which came in handy on hot days to let the fresh air through the tent. I have to admit the carpet gives it just the extra luxury. I would recommend this tent as a great buy.

We bought this tent from Go Outdoors after we saw it erected next to us when we were in our 4man and I suffered from serious tent-envy.
The first time we erected this tent we were disappointed to find 2 issues- firstly, an eye was not available for attaching a peg into for one of the pods. Secondly, and really annoyingly, one of the small metal anchor points for the poles had not been sewn onto the tent base. These are only small issues but they do smack of a cheap build. Finally, once we had erected the tent we found a small hole, like a cigarette burn, on the front of the tent. That was a bit irritating.
However, it took only some 25mins to get the tent up in a breeze for the first time, and once it was done we loved it! Firstly, having a sewn in groundsheet is a luxury that cannot be done away with- it produces a superb bubble of calm that truly enriches your time under canvas. The space the entire tent encapsulates is simple huge. The pods are split 2/4 man with the larger pod easily capable of taking a double height, double air-bed with plenty of room surrounding the bed. The other we use to store clothing, food and everything else.
The living area is huge. It has handy velcro straps on the roof to hang lights from and a central hanging point from which we suspend a Hurricane lamp loaded with Citronella oil which gives us plenty of space to walk beneath without clocking one's noggin when ambling around. We have two chairs and a table that seats 4people but we find we use only a small part of the front living area. There are also velcro holes in the sides of the tent to push your ehu through. I also like the dark colour of the material as it seems to me to give a little shade early morning. I understand the weight of this tent when bagged is around 22kg's but I have not weighed it.
Wifey and I love this tent, it would be a 10/10 were it not for the 2 irritating faults in construction. I would however recommend this tent to you:)

This is my second review of this tent in the first review I gave it two stars due to on going issues with faults prior to going camping with it. We have just returned from our first camping trip with it from a very windy Seton Sands 28th May. The wind was shocking and the camping area very open and exposed, the tent did an excellent job of keeping the showers out, but it really impressed us how well it held up to the the high winds, it did lose its shape to the point that the front pole over the door popped inwards quite a few times once knocking our kitchen unit over which was a few feet away from the front of the tent, but the front pole would pop back out again taking its proper shape and its better doing that than the tent ripping or the poles breaking. We used our car to help shelter the tent best we could, we had two 6 person tents along from us the type with the central dome with the three pods leading off in different directions, well they where in an awful state with protruding poles and ripped guy lines, tried my best to help one of them as the owners where not there but not much you can do with no guy lines. Our neighbour in a caravan was leaving the same time as us so helped us put our tent down in the high winds so it wasnt damaged when not tied down, We then treated him and his son to coffees/juice. On returning the other tent owners where proceeding to put their tents in the bins as they were so damaged. If it wasnt for the build issues we have on going it would be ten stars.

Excellent tent. Camping mid May in North Wales. Very high winds and heavy rain. Tent coped no bother. Have noticed there are two versions of this tent. My version is slightly lower in the bedroom section and has a six berth bedroom as opposed to the two and four separate rooms. This is the driest tent I have ever owned. Muchos impressed. Never had a problem with water when opening the flaps, newer version maybe????

Manufacturer's Description
A strong, stable and spacious 6-person tent with large windows and generous headroom.
Built using a strong semi-geodesic structure, the Hi Gear Voyager Elite 6 is an easily-pitched tent with room to accomodate 6 campers and all their gear.
It has a large, full-standing-height bedroom area, which can be adapted to convert some of the space into storage quarters if needed.
The groundsheet is sewn in, meaning you get no unwanted draughts, moisture or bugs getting in. Multiple windows (and mesh panels) let you control how much sunlight gets in, and maintain your privacy. The large front door and additional side door give you easy access for you and your gear, and also let you control ventilation.
It's stable enought to stand up to very windy conditions, with the cross-pole design giving it extra strength and flexibility.
A versatile tent that's great for families, groups of friends or festival-goers - and don't forget, you can add extra comfort and insulation by choosing the Hi Gear Voyager Elite Carpet, and extend your sheltered space by adding on the Hi Gear Voyager Elite 6 Porch.
