This is our very first tent! It's a very large tent and we have the canopy to go with it, so pitch size needs to be checked. Needs 2 people to erect due to size.
Our first go at putting it together at home took 20 minutes, On site 15 minutes and 5 minutes for canopy including footprint. Good job really as the heavens had opened!
NOTE: canopy must be taken down in high winds and we found this out, It was a very large kite!
It's very spacious inside and you can stand up all the way round, great if you have a bad back. Lots of pockets, lantern hooks etc. Very heavy rain and no leaks. Door leaks inwards in heavy showers but not with canopy.
Would love to know how to put a tent back in the original bag??? No chance!
Large car/trailer needed in case you have to take the tent down without being able to fold tightly.

A basic review since I've only just pitched this and put it away again but as the ease of pitching is often a deciding factor in buying a tent I've decided to write this.
Tent comes in one zipped bag a little heavy but not impossible for one person to carry.
There were 4 of us putting up the tent although 2 of us did the bulk of the work and we had it up (minus the guy lines) in 10 minutes. Getting the pins into the bottom of the poles was quite difficult, more difficult that I've noticed with other tents, the poles were creaking at times and I felt sure they were going to snap! However, they didn't! Taking the above into account I'm pretty certain 2 of us could have it put up and guy lines out in around 30 minutes, probably less. It looks like it would be possible to do alone with a bit of practice. I didn't read the tent instructions just went with the usual tunnel tent procedure! Lay tent out, put poles through sleeves, peg down back of tent, put pins in poles, stand poles up and walk forward pulling the tent taught as you go, peg down front of tent then the guy lines, easy!
Plenty room in living area, my daughter is 5ft 7 and had just short of a foot above her head. Length wise the bedroom areas don't have a great amount of space, my daughter lay in it and her head and feet were touching both ends of tent, however there is more room lying width ways.
Overall I'd say this is an excellent value for money tent for a family for a weekend, for a week or more I'd recommend the canopy to give some extra storage space. For a couple or perhaps 3 people there's plenty room for your main holiday.
One down side that I can see so far, and it's something I was aware of before purchasing, the SIG is not really a full SIG as the door zip on the main front entry way does not zip fully, others have mentioned water leaking in and it flapping in the wind. I can't say how much of an issue this will be until I've been away overnight. One other small issue, despite taking my time I couldn't get the tent and the poles in the bag, the tent was tough to get in but it went but couldn't get the poles, not an issue for me but thought I'd mention it.
Will review again once tent has been used overnight.

Manufacturer's Description
The Vango Icarus 600 is a new size being introduced into the highly popular range for the 2010 season. The Icarus range is likely to prove even more popular in 2010 due to the fantastically simple 'as-one' easy to pitch system and the simple 3-pole no hassle construction will make it the most ideal of weekend tents.
The tent frame is constructed using Powerflex fiberglass poles, a Protex 2000 Polyester flysheet (2000mm hydrostatic head protection) and as is the norm these days, the groundsheet is fully sewn-in to keep out unwanted pests and draughts.
The other key features of the tent include, as-one pitching, single 6-berth sleeping compartment (with roll back divider), TBS tension band system for extra strengthening in adverse weather, 10,000mm HH internal groundsheet, side 'J' door with mesh double door, heavy duty continuous poles sleeves, storm skirts, pelmet with storage pockets, cable entry point, front door mesh vent, reflective webbing, (helps aliens encounter you) 'Crystal Clear' windows (with internal covers), breathable fabric inner tent, parallel zipped front door can be used as a sun sun porch (porch poles not provided). Handled carry bag and repair kit included. Flame retardant throughout.
