Great tent with loads of room, very good with it having a kitchen area. It did leak on the window but it was very heavy rain and you can always peg your vent down and that might stop the problem however we only had 1 major rain storm so we will try next time. The poles can be a bit tricky to undo after the tent has been battered by strong wind but over all a good then for the price.

I have read a review which states that it is easy to fix the zip problem on the Maritsa 700 by using seam sealer! Please don't do this because it will weld the zips and cause irreparable damage to the tent! An easier and sensible way is to rub on some soft wax, that you can buy from most supermarkets. This will solve the problem and keep the zips working without leakage. I hope this advice is helpful.

We tried our Maritsa 700 out this weekend for the first time. We found it really easy to put up, it took about 30 minutes. We had put it up once before as a test run.
I love the layout of this tent. The front porch was used for the cooking table, fridge etc and to store the cooker and chairs at night. We used it as a utility tent and went in and out of the main tent via the side doors. The main living area is a great size and very useful if you have young kids. Plenty of room for them to play.
I also like the reduced height in the bedroom pods. They are not low enough to be a problem. We had 2 sunncamp xl camp beds in there with self inflating mats on top and there was planty of room to get in out. They are very much like trailer tent bedrooms height wise, which I have always found to be much cosier.
All in all I think this is the best designed tent I have owned or seen for years. It is a bit of a monster sizewise but the shape of it makes it look quite a bit smaller than similar sized traditional shaped tents.
We haven't yet had it in the rain but I soaked it with buckets of water and had the seam sealer at the ready but it didn't leak at all. It did seem to have really good ventilation internally. There was a lot less condensation above the pods in the morning than in other tents I have owned.

We have just returned from our second camping trip with this tent and we could not be happier. First time pitching we had a few problems inserting the pins in the bottom of the poles but second time around we learned that we could slacken off the straps with the pins on which made it really easy. Pitching time around 40 minutes with the two of us.
We love the three bedrooms, one for us, one for the kids and one for the rest of our stuff such as clothes so the living area is kept really tidy and clear of clutter. This helps to entertain two young kids on a rainy day.
The separate porch is excellent for the camping stove and kitchen and everything else that needs to be kept dry when it rains.
We initially had a problem with the leaking window zips on the first trip so treated it well with Nikwax. Had rain again all day on the Saturday on our last trip and not of drop of rain this time. Seems to have done the trick.

This is our second tent having bought a cheap one to see if the kids would like camping they loved it so got a Maritsa from go outdoors on a sale weekend.
A superb buy ours hasn't leaked at all like some other reviews although I have changed the pegs as the supplied ones tend to bend easily. I agree the pole bag wasn't going to last long so my wife lined ours with an old canvas one potential problem solved,
So much space one weekend we spent sitting in the porch its that big very hard to clutter this tent as its so big.
Pitching for the first time was difficult following the vango way so we decided to pitch like an outwell vermont as pitched by yeomans on utube only needed wifes help for 10 minutes and she then did a wrekky of the site with the kids to leave me to do the rest in peace all in all took me 40 mins on my own not to hard at all.
This turned out to be a good buy got some nice comments from people on the site and one bloke asked for a look inside as he was looking to upgrade his tent that had got damaged during the high winds one Saturday night ours didn't move an inch.
Big thumbs up for this tent.

This is my updated review, having properly tried out the vango Maritsa 700.
We spent 4 nights/5 days away in it over the May bank holiday, in a complete mixture of weathers and temperatures.
Pitching was definitely easier the 2nd time around and we probably had it all up in an hour (would love to know how some of you reviewers manage it in 30 mins - doesn't feel like we're going slow!)
We had a good 12 hours of solid, very heavy rain and were pleased to find that we didn't have any leaking through the windows as others have had. We did have pools of water in the porch area, but we think that was down to us not attaching the ground sheet properly rather than a fault with the tent.
We would recommend getting the footprint and the carpet. The carpet made the cold evenings seem much cosier and was just so much nicer underfoot. We realised the value of the footprint when we packed up in (yet more) pouring rain and didn't have a muddy (sewn-in) ground sheet. The tent and footprint have since dried very quickly, draped over the kids' play equipment in the garden!
Overall, we're really pleased with this tent and look forwards to using it again soon.

Just returned from a 5 night stay in the lakes with this tent. It took one adult (female) and 3 teenagers about an hour and an half to put up. Found it really heavy but it is the very 1st time we have put it up. Putting it down we had more of an action plan and once it was down we lifted it again to see if we could make a better job of it and we think we've cracked it. Following the instructions always helps (I've never needed instructions with other tents).
Once in place we loved it, bags of space and the centre bedroom/wardrobe is brill. We used it as a wardrobe and it kept us clutter free. The porch was great for cooking in again bags of space.
This tent would have easily rated 10 out of 10 if it hadn't rained. Once it started raining both windows leaked within about an hour which I'm really disappointed with.
Other than that the Manufacturer's Description is spot on I did get many comments from fellow campers on what a cracking tent it is.

Paid £319 from yeomans online weekend special.
Leaked like a sieve through the window zip structure on the 2 living room windows, and through the largest arc support seam.
Very awkward to erect because of the non standard tunnel design, checked the video on the Vango website and it misses out the awkward parts,i wonder why.
Emailed Yeomans for a refund Waiting for reply.
Checked other reviews after we returned off holiday, and there does seem to be a problem with leaks in this tent. Bedroom area a 3 /2/ 2 I wouldn't recommend this tent for large families and the pole bag is poor quality.
The positives - spacious living area, built in canopy. Will be trying to get a refund we do not want another Leaky Maritsa.
Update - Got a full refund from yeomans their service was second to none, I wont be buying another one .

We have just come back from a 3 night/4 day camping trip and used the Maritsa for the first time.
Great tent for a family of 2 adults and 2 small children, good living space, porch great for kitchen equipment.
This is a heavy tent and as previous reviews, need 2 people to put up, took us 30 minutes.
Due to overall size of tent, found most sites will charge rate of 1.5 pitches in high season.
BUT our tent did leak! Woke up Saturday morning to puddles of water under the windows, water seems to have come in through the zips!? Also found a small puddle in bigger bedroom under our air bed. Very disappointed after spending this much on a tent.
Contacted Go Camping today, returned tent to them for 48 hour testing (hose pipe the tent and check for leaks) so hoping to get a replacement tent.

Just tried out our new Maritsa 700 this weekend and was pretty impressed.
The 2 of us only took about 45 mins to put up and we weren't rushing so should be able to do in 30 no problems next time. We found the pegs-into-end-of-poles difficult too but found it a lot easier to ease off the buckle first.
Would really recommend getting the footprint as the ground sheet is very thin and the site we were on was a bit stony in places and soft in some and without the footprint think we would have had problems with furniture feet going through.
Seeing as spending so much we went for the carpet too and it's lovely.
We had rain on the first day and the 'living' area window zips leaked like I've read from someone else so will be making a call tomorrow. Everywhere else was water tight.
Easy to take down and wasn't the usual wrestling match to get it back into the bag - plenty of space.
Poles are very heavy and agree with the others, the bag won't last so will look for something more sturdy to line it with.
Would recommend that you lift the porch groundsheet flap up instead of placing it under the main living area as the rain started to run in here. But once lifted it was all fine again.
Otherwise a great tent and am looking forward to our 2 week hols knowing have plenty of space for our family.
