We have owned this tent for 3 years now and we still think it is fantastic.
We previously used a Vango synthetic tent but found it to be unbearably hot whilst camping in France. We concluded that a canvas tent would breath more and stay cool under the hot sun.
The tent pitches in 10-15 minutes and can be done by one person if you're strong enough. We love the space available inside and value the ability to stand up and walk around.
In the tent we use a double air mattress with two goose down duvets (one under us and one over); this keeps us warm enough for outside temperatures down to 0 degrees C. We also have a wood burning stove installed.
The one drawback of the 2012 model is that it does not have a fly screen door so we made one ourselves. Later models do have a fly screen door built in.

Excellent, Robust and very easy / quick to put up (13 minutes last weekend!). On hot days the base can be detached and the sides rolled up.
We get no condensation on the inside of the tent and it's been proven to be watertight (a night in huge thunderstorm proved this).
On one occasion we had 14 teenagers partying and sleeping in it over night and they really enjoyed it!

Bought a 5 M Bell tent after seeing one a friend had,The nearest thing we found after our Pyramid 6 sleeper finally got too old to use which we had loved and had used for many years all year round
We Have never been sorry.
Although only two of us as we camp in all weathers didn't want to feel cooped up when shut in from the rain.
Also great when our daughter and her family used it last summer with five year old twins and a one year old in a travel cot.
This tent has been through some heavy rain and not leaked at all. Heavy winds and only reason to re peg was the ground was so soft it would not keep the pegs in.
We have our wood burner on the side of our tent as worried that as I am clumsy if I tripped on the way in I may put my hand on it to save myself from falling. It is a great place to put the burner as it seems to give more room and would not hesitate to do this again.
Since buying ours more friends have seen it and got their own everyone puts their own touches to it, I have designed Snugglerug throws for ours which add a nice touch to the Glamping feel of it along with the Moroccan and hand painted Indian tables.

What can I add to all the 10 out of 10 reviews? Nothing really, just want to pitch in and add what a great tent this is. Not really sure (after 1 sunny outing) if we should have got the 4m - the 5m is MASSIVE and heavy - but lovely tent, lovely to sleep in, garnered lots of interest from passers by (must glam it up!) and provided a perfect shelter for our family.
Bought ours direct from Obelink, as we live in Germany, but the price difference is not so great as previous years. The front wing really helped provide privacy and much needed shade.
I think this would appeal to those who haven't camped much before and want some luxury to do it in, or those who have had many years with man-made-fibre tents and want something interesting and secure in bad weather, like us.

I bought this tent after reading many many reviews and searching high and low for something I could pitch on my own - often the only adult camping with 2 young girls and a dog. I also wanted something a bit different.
This tent is so easy to put up and incredibly quick, my daughters and I get it up in approx 15mins.
I bought a 5m tent because I read somewhere that you can never have too much space and this has proved invaluable on rainy days - we can all fit in as well as the table and chairs.
After 24hrs of continuous rain there has been no leaking and the canvas minimises the noise.
We love it and can't wait to use it again and again .

Well, what can I say that has not already been said about this truly awesome tent! My Fianceé, 2 small dogs and myself have enjoyed 5 outings in this beauty this year already and have loved every second! We have been fortunate on every occasion to hit great weather (quite remarkable, given this year's wet Summer!), so unable to comment on it's waterproofing. We have had a couple of days in some heavy winds, and instead of being greeted by the usual plastic rattling, the canvass sound proved to be almost tranquil and certainly not distracting in anyway. From a 'show off' point of view, the comments we received from people on the campsites were incredibly positive, screams from kids 'Look Mum, they have a tee-pee'. We are quite lavish with the solar lights we have purchased, she looks stunning on an evening (yes, I have adopted her as a female!). The space inside is epic, we can set up a small kitchen area, a clothes wardrobe and a king sized inflatable bed, and still have room to swing a dog (not that I have for any PETA officers reading!). The customer service has been great when I called to query storage advice etc. They also offer a re-waterproofing and professional cleaning service at reasonable rates. Being able to roll up the walls has been very useful on those hot days, a cool breeze sweeping through the tent whilst enjoying a refreshing local Ale was one of my highlights. Unless we happen to take this tent on a wet day and find ourselves submerged in the morning, I really can't find a single negative to say about it!

Decide to upgrade to this tent for no real reason. Our old tent was fine, we just fancied one because they look so cool. We are so pleased we did. Torrential rain outside and not a single drop inside. No clammy damp feeling either. Tent was very quiet in the wind, the only noise was from the zip handles clinking together, easily sorted by opening apart slightly.
Bell Tent were really good in that they let us take our fishing beds up to there warehouse where they had erected a tent for us to decide if we wanted a 4 or 5m tent. We chose the 5 as it was only £100 extra and we felt we would have always regretted it if We got the 4. If you have the car space go for the 5 every time.
Tent was really easy to put up. Took longer to attach guy ropes for the first time than to put the tent up. Packing up was simple. Bag is oversized so no hassle putting away.
Only thing I would do to improve it is a couple more lower rings on the centre pole for hanging lightweight items like coats. Nothing too heavy so as no to damage floor although easy enough to put a small mat to spread the load. I have made a bar to screw onto ring so we have a coat rack and can hang some lights too.
We also hang a carbon monoxide alarm from the pole too. Very cheap from amazon and worth every penny.

I absolutely love my bell tent. I even took it to the middle east when we moved there so I could do bell tent desert camping (don't do this - it's far too big and heavy!)
We used it all through the summer of 2010 - went to a couple of campsites in the uk and three in France for a long 20 day holiday. It never leaked, even in a serious storm, and was an absolute pleasure to use. I love the soft light inside, the fact it takes me about 15 minutes to put it up on my own. It felt much warmer than my old polyester tent, and was much quieter in wind - a lovely seaside flutter as opposed to that horrible rustle, rustle, rustle that used to really bother me with my old Wynnster.
I think you definitely need the tarp and possibly the inner - it would have been nice to have a separate sleeping area as it feels very cavernous at night and I prefer cosy. Having the tarp makes all the difference though, as eating, reading and noisy playing can be done outside leaving the bell for delicious chilling and sleeping. I don't normally have afternoon naps but we found we were having them en famille almost every day after lunch. It was just so lovely to lie inside.
We've never undone the zip and rolled the sides up - but it is nice to know we can if we wish!
We went around a big tent display near us full of Coleman, Kampa, Outwell and trailer tents yesterday. Some of the tents were gorgeous, but I'd still choose my bell tent over any of them. It's just got such character. It's my forever tent. (well, as long as it holds up!)

I am disabled and yet I can with just a little planning put the tent up myself. It is heavy, but came with a good strong bag, with easy handles. The kids love it.
Its warm, comfortable and very easy to live with. I have bought the inner sleeping 'tent' I had used the main tent on its own, but now wouldn't be without the inner tent, especially in midge areas.
So far its stood up to everything the weather has thrown at it.
