This tent arrived well packaged and in excellent condition. It is pretty heavy, so if you cannot lift all the weight in one, it might be an idea to separate the parts for easier manoeuvring of the tent.

On site, we unpacked the tent and found it came complete with some heavy duty pegs, all poles and detailed instructions.

After a quick read through the instructions we were straight to work, and although I had a friend with me, I could easily have done this on my own. It's an incredibly easy tent to erect.

Firstly choose a starting point and peg out the ground sheet at that point and then work your way round the groundsheet going from pegging point to pegging point. Once the groundsheet ended up nice and tight and smooth, it was ready for the main centre pole to go up, which is spring loaded so easy to put together.

There are no guide holes for the main pole, however it is very straightforward and you can easily tell where the middle of the groundsheet and canvas are. With the pole pushed in to position the tent was starting to take shape. It comes complete with poles to create the entrance / porch and these clip together and slot in to the guidehole above the doorway and into the pouches on the floor to stop the poles from sliding. On the main pole there is a hanging point for your lighting.

From here we then pegged out all the guylines and this created the awesome looking bell tent shape. This tent does not take very long to put up and should be easily managable by somebody camping on their own.

The groundsheet is fully zipped in and the zips can be undone and the groundsheet detached from the main canvas. This makes it ideal for those hot days and you can open it all up to allow airflow through. If you do not wish to fully unzip and open the bottom of the tent, there are mesh windows that you can unzip to allow light and some of the breeze to get through.

The main porch / door way has mesh sheets zipped in too, this enables the front doors to be open, whilst stopping bugs and nasties getting in.

Of course one of the main benefits of being made from canvas is these tents stay cool in summer, and warm in winter. We used this on one of the hottest weekends of the year, and with the groundsheet unzipped and sides rolled up, the tent was amazingly cool and a welcome break from the heat outside. Waking up to a blazing sun in the morning was not a chore, with the tent remaining nice and cool, and meaning I could enjoy a lie in for once! There's loads of space inside, and you'd be very comfortable sleeping four - sleeping for two was just pure luxury!

Packing away was the reverse of putting this tent up, and a nice good sized bag meant it went back away without any problems, with the canvas, poles and accessories fitting comfortably.

We also used one of the Boutique Camping Roll Up Beds, and boy this was so comfy, one of the best nights sleep in a while. It is quite a large item for packing, but it is soft and squashable, and well worth the space in the car boot in our opinion.

To conclude: This is one excellent tent, and just reeks of quality. Everything was extremely well made, and put together, and we'd be very confident of getting many many years of use from it. All the zips were rugged and easy to do up. The guylines felt hefty, and the metal guy rope sliders made it very easy to adjust the tension and felt rock solid. Coupled with the heavy duty pegs supplied, and the really substantial centre pole, this tent isn't going anywhere once up!

Of course the other major benefit is just the style. The tent gained admirers from all over the site, and just looking at it made me smile all weekend.
