2 Reviews of the Venus

By: Andy Swaby  Reason: I own(ed) one  Made in: 2011   Rating:

We bought a second hand Venus in 2015 and like the previous reviewer are very pleased with it. The trailer is small and very lightweight so can be towed by a small car (in our case a Skoda Fabia) and can be easily moved around on site and garage stored. We have previously owned larger, heavier trailer tents and find the light weight a big advantage but miss the storage space provided by a larger unit. The main cabin is easy to erect but small and only suitable for overnight stays without the awning. Any stay longer requires the awning which is relatively easy to put up. One minor niggle is that erection of the awning tends to pull the cabin canvas slightly out of shape making it impossible to close the cabin door properly. The TT has been fitted with mains electrics providing 6 plug points in the cabin area which is a big plus. Like the previous reviewer I would consider this TT suitable for a couple but too small for a family even though it would be physically possible to put an extra bed in an undertent or an awning extension.

We have owned a Venus for just over a year now and are very pleased with it. We find it very easy to erect, I can do ot on my own in around 30 minutes.Although some come with a kitchen ours does not. We have the extension for the awning and find it give great extra space. The one downside is we don't have a bedskirt and no means of fitting one.Our car is a 1200cc Fiat Dublo and w still get 42MPG when towing on a run.The TT is light enough to manoeuvre on site and we are both in our 60s.Ours came with all the interior roof covers and the bed pod, we also have the bed pod for the awning extension. I would recommend the Venus for a couple.
