The blackout bedrooms are great. Having had one, I now would never buy a tent without them.
That said, the implementation is not perfect. The blackout material works very well (it blocks virtually all the light), but it's only in the bedroom outer, and the bedroom door. Light comes into the bedroom from the top of the inner tent, coming over the door from the main room (which is not blackout). This means that it isn't really a blackout bedroom - but it's still as good as most people's rooms at home.
Not sure why they didn't make the whole tent blackout.
Also, we've used ours twice and have had three broken poles. Not good!
I'd definitely buy again though, because of the blackout bedrooms.
