3 Reviews of the Columbus 8
By: Sitra25 Reason: I've used one Made in: 2006 Rating:
We borrowed a family members Columbus 8, his tent is around 6 years old, it did the job for our first camping trip, but groundsheet wasnt fully sewn in, and seemed quite drafty, but its added bonus was the bedroom pods, which kept some of the wind out, we only used two pods and kept the 3rd for keeping things in

Super family tent. We are a family of two adults and two children. The tent pitches with three inner pods but we have removed one of these to give a larger storage space but still have loads of sleeping space and well enough room to sit inside on cold nights.
Takes about an hour to set up camp even less when my kids get their fingers out and actually help. It pitches in one with the pods included and so is a bit of a big beast when bagged but we manage to get four people, tent and all our other gear for 3 to 7 days in into an estate car.
Love it to bits, it's our home from home and even gets the nod of approval from my wife, the reluctant camper who prefers 5 star all the way!

We love using this tent. We are a family of two adults and three children 7 and under. We can easily sleep all of us (including a baby travel cot) in the two end pods and have ample space in the opposite pod for clothes etc etc, with the centre as a living area. As you can see from the picture, it has many doors that open for ventilation. Easy to put up. We only camp a couple of week-ends a year (so have camped using it only four times) yet we can have the whole thing up, air beds blown up, duvet and clothes etc in, in an hour. A pole snapped on third time of use but probably due to our inexperience. Compared to the Coleman Columbia which we bought but had to return due to a stitching error, this goes up like a dream.
