1 Reviews of the Magellan 6
By: HuntH1 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2008 Rating:
I bought this tent from Oswald Bailey as an end of stock item.
It is a very useful size - 6 berth in 3 removable bedrooms - which houses 5 of us (2 adults and 3 children 6yrs, 4 yrs, 1yr) reasonably comfortably.
This tent does seem to move a great deal in the wind which can be disconcerting. I'm not sure whether this is a 'feature' of Coleman tents though.
From unpacking to living can be done by two adults in 30-45 mins.

Manufacturer's Description
From Coleman's range of family tents, the Magellan 6 - understated elegance. A sturdy 6 person tent designed with natural colours allowing it to blend perfectly with its surroundings. Encorporating aluminium poles in to the design results in a sturdy and lightweight tent. Technically advanced design that includes WeatherTec, Area Management and Airflow all optimising space and conditions. The Magellan consists of the 3 inner rooms each able to sleep 2 persons. Each section can be removed to increase living space if required making the tent a superb choice for anything from a 6 person group downwards. Features include integrated groundsheets, no-see-um mesh on inners that will keep even the smallest bigs out, window covers, porch poles, carry bag and much more. Full height in the living area means that even taller campers need not crouch. A hydrostatic head of 3000mm means that the tent will protect no matter what the weather. Combine all of this with the astonishing price and you can see why this tent is so popular with our families.
