5 Reviews of the Phact X2

One good tip, use the triangular section at the side of the door for access. Keeps the rain out of the apses and your stored gear dry. A strong good value tent that is excellent at venting condensation. Roomy with good storage in pockets in the inner and the apses at each end. A bit slow to pitch as there are a lot of connections from the flysheet to the poles. Can't go wrong at the current discounted prices.

We bought this tent as it looked like a well made mountain tent for a reasonable price and it is. We have found a few small issues with the tent such as when it is wet the low doorways and door openings make it very difficult to get in and out of the tent without getting wet. The top sheet seems too short and there is a lot of the inner showing around the bottom, we haven't had a problem yet with it but are a bit weary. The ground sheet is also two sheets with a seam sealing them, although we haven't had a problem with it it is something to be aware off. Otherwise good around tent, stable with plenty of guy ropes to tie down in bad weather, good stable structure. Good purchase for £100.

Got a real good comparo deal from Go Outdoors, made it a no brainer purchase. For a tent this size takes a while to pitch. Very roomy and spacious feeling inside. Ventilates very well so less condensation than similar tents, this is VERY important to me. Flysheet does not get to the ground so I would be concerned to use it in snow, that does benefit the ventilation though. Seems very well made for the money with excellent alloy poles and handy features, pockets, and removable aps groundsheets. A bit heavy for backpacking but fine two of us on the tandem. Don't like the colour but even at the new higher prices still good.

We bought this tent to take on motorbike trips. The important thing was the size and weight of the tent as well as it's overall durability. We were not disappointed. It packs up small and fits on the bike easily. It's quick and easy to put up and is roomy for a two man tent particularly with the storage space at the front. The only criticism is that the ground sheet for the porch area is not generous enough and the rain does tend to find it's way in under the front flaps so shoes etc can sometimes become damp.

Otherwise an excellent tent, and value for money.

I got this tent back in march to be used as a general tent for walking expeditions and general camping with mates etc.

Not the lightest tent but the excellent design that looks good and offers loads of space outweighs the 'weight' factor (excuse the pun!)

I'v used it in hot weather and it was comfortable and I've used it in the extreme wind and rain up Snowdon last weekend and it held out brilliantly!

An all in all good tent that looks cool and is very practical apart from the weight.

It has an X shaped pole structure which makes it wider than typical backpacking tents and it feels very large inside with loads of room for two lads walking kit in the double ended porches. The glowing guy ropes make it really easy to find when stumbling back from the pub!
