I've owned my Ridgeline 4 for a few years now and have used it in snow, gale force winds, torrential rain, and some sunshine! Given that this is a mid range family tent rather than an exotic specialist tent I've been really impressed by how well it's performed. The only water ingress I've experienced is on the door ties which leak a little in heavy rain, but not in to the sleep compartments. Given it's designed for space rather than extreme conditions it's amazingly good at withstanding heavy winds when used with heavy duty pegs (the ones it comes with are OK, but have their limits even when double pegged). The tent is a little ungainly to erect particularly if you are short as the top flat always seems to need re affixing once the poles are in, but it packs up nicely and always fits back in the bag. I originally bought it as a more spacious summer tent to use with the kids, but have found myself using it year round and my smaller 3 man technical tent has not had a outing for a while!

Great tent. I can put it up myself just but with my 10 year old son we can erect it in 15 minutes. Fully waterproof even during a storm in West Wales during which we had police advice to pack up and go. It's quick to take down too! Only negative is when you use the door as a porch it bows so when you collapse it to shut during rain you can get rain in the tent if your not careful. Also it is hard to reach the flap over the apex when you are only 5'7'. Guess that's 2 negatives but trust me they are only minor ones.

I have this tent, I am using it for the first time this year. My daughter has used it for a couple of years and thinks it's a good one, her and a friend who is a non-camper managed it easily. I am worried about the living space, prior to this tent we had a tunnel tent and had a lot of living space. But as with camping everyone sits outside anyway. That said we have bought the Coleman universal porch/extension. I tried them both out this morning and the porch is a little slack but we have to perfect putting that piece of nylon over the tent yet. It all seems really pretty good together, I think I will be investing in 'clip ons' or is that 'clamp ons' I have seen a review of them on UKCS, so will be investigating further.
Putting up and down I found a bit tricky initially simply because I had been used to the ease of the tunnel tent, We could have that up in 10 minutes. This one takes about 15 minutes to get it up, without being pegged out. I love the height and the ability to walk into the tent without stooping. We have been fortunate not to have had rain when it has been used so can't comment on rain resistance. Its a good sized tent, very portable, easy to erect, 'idiot proof' markings on the poles, two rooms, 2 adults in one room, one in the other with sufficient room. The 'tray' design groundsheet is a good idea but be careful not to trip over the lip of the sheet.
I'm happy with it, even though I have yet to sleep in it!

Does it keep the rain out? – in a word, 'yes'. We survived a very wet and windy week in the Lakes with no leaks. It helped that the central area has a 'tray' groundsheet attached by toggles, rather than being sewn in and this avoided water running down the side of the tent onto the groundsheet.
Easy to put up? - again, 'yes'. It can even be put by one person at a pinch although it is much easier with two. Instructions are sewn into the storage bag and poles and toggles colour coded. Poles have a blunt 'bobble' at each end which helps avoid them sticking in the sleeves.
Size? - better for two adults and two children than four adults.
Overall – good tent for the money.

My tent has stood up to 80 mph winds and 3 days of very heavy rain. A tent that can stand up to that punishment without a leak or any other damage or mishap to me is a good one, well done Coleman. It was never set up no practice shots, nothing went to a camping shop in Tillicotry, Scotland and bought what we needed. Put it in the car found a site and got on with it and we enjoyed it

A nice 4-man tent, ease of standing in the living area for dressing. I have only pitched this tent in windy conditions and as of yet still not got the knack (early days!). The sleeping areas take double blow up mattresses with some space around for emergency items. Although, the ground sheet is not sewn in, it does make for easy dismantling and rolling back into the bag. The zips a good quality and so far have not got stuck in the material. My only gripe is that it would be better if the 'black-out' panel was dark and not white to aid sleeping! I have not noticed any leaks but might just be lucky.

Roomy tent we used it for 2 people with a bedroom each being and able to stand in the living room and if you're not too tall in part of the bedroom, was the main reason we bought this tent. As other reviewers have mentioned it did leak a bit through the top vent in the living room because it rained with strong winds when we used it,so we've ordered the coleman awning to give extra protection but on the positive side it stood up to the winds. We loved the porch and as it was the first time we'd pitched a dome tent (we'd previously used tunnel tents) we did find it tricky to erect. Hopefully next time we will have the 'knack' so it'll be easier

Lovely weekend tent for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids.
Have to agree with previous posts about the central area not having a sewn in groundsheet but can live with that for the ease of putting up and taking down.
Goes back into the bag fairly easily and perfect fit for a double airbed in each room.
We also put up in high winds and tent held up very well once up, tiniest bit of water through the flap at the top, but nothing major.

Good value for a decent 4 man, as the previous review says its easy enough to put up but can be a bit fiddly in high winds.
We used it for the first time over 4 days and had a mixture of weather. In wind driven rain it stayed up well with no visible leaks. The only slight niggle was that a small amount of water could get in the vent mesh at the top of the living area despite the presence of a cover flap on the outside - as I say it was very wind driven rain though.
All in all though a decent upgrade from our previous 2 man dome tent.

Fairly easy to put up one you've got the hang of it. We put it up and took it down 3 times in 3 days with ease.
Generous sized living area for the two of us. Plenty of pockets around too.
Bedrooms are sewn in groundsheet, nice size too.
Living area comes with separate groundsheet to be attached. Doors open both sides which is a nice feature.
Found the 'porch' poles fiddly and didn't end up using the 'porch', just folded the doors up instead.
Nice sturdy design, can comfortably stand in the middle which makes getting dressed much easier too!
Stood up well in strong winds once erected but was not the easiest to put up or take down due to it's height in these winds.
Would recommend. Good value, nice size.
