5 Reviews of the Trispace
By: Mrsfarnie Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2003 Rating:
We purchased our Coleman Trispace off a friend who had decided it was too large for him and his wife.
We are thoroughly pleased with this tent. We use it for 4 people. 2 adults and 2 small children. We like the fact that you can stand up in this tent and there is plenty of room in the living area for a table and chairs when the weather is bad and you have to play games! We don't find it too difficult to erect with just 2 people and takes around 1/2 hr to assemble. I would recommend this tent.

Our Coleman Trispace was purchased brand new from a camping shop near my home. Was very pleased with the purchase as it was in a sale and we got it for 20% of the RRP. Took it home and erected it in next doors back garden. Was pleased at the standing height living space and the removable walls in the bedrooms. Has easily enough room for the eight it can sleep but is more comfortable when sleeping four. Excellent tent, no problems what so ever. Would recommend this tent for first time family campers!

First we owned the trispace (green one pictured above) We liked it and used it on 3 camping trips 30 days in all, one of the poles snapped when we had a bad storm and ripped through the material. That was the last time we used it, for obvious reasons. We went and bought the exact same tent but this time the fabric was poly cotton (light brown one pictured above) and the poles were not fiber glass but aluminium.
We like this tent although it was quite expensive and is a little heavier, we feel that this tent would stand a storm much better than the the previous model.
The ground sheet is not sewn in and ventilation is good.
I wish this model had an extension or porch you could add on.
There is no way it would hold 8 adults! We have twins age 8 and a boy aged 12 sleep in one side comfortably but we feel we need one with more room now.
In our bedroom we fit one suitcase and the other cases have to be put in living area, so really not big enough now kids are getting bigger.

Bought this tent after previously owning a Coleman Bispace 500 (the older one without windows). This one has windows and is a bigger tent. The bedrooms are quite big and the living area is good and you can stand up in it. The windows make all the difference to the tent. It is quite large and takes two to put up. It also has the addition of a door each side of the living area and each door has a separate fly screen which is a really good idea. The quality of the two Coleman tents we have had is really good and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I would definitely be reluctant to change it.

Whilst on my trail of trying to find a tent to suit our family, I was lucky enough to win one. We are still using the same tent to this day, admittedly we swop and change depending on how long we are going for and how many people are going. I would never have considered buying one as the bedrooms appeared too small/low in height. I would say it is a squeeze for 4 in each side, however they are perfectly practical, considering the amount of time spent in them. The material used is top quality and we have never had a tear/rip or leak. I think we have replaced one elastic cord since new. The older Coleman tents were certainly made from material made to last, and are guaranteed waterproof. One downside is 2 adults are needed to erect it, which takes around 30 minutes.
