2 Reviews of the Vespucci 6
By: Niamoone Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2015 Rating:
I spent some time searching for a tent as my criteria was specific - it had to be a proper six berth tent (can get double airbeds into each bedroom properly!) and had to be simple enough for me to put up on my own (will need practice), fit in the car and be light enough for me to carry - as I'm a single mum with five kids. It went up well with the 13 and 11 yos helping me, but I cannot get the damn thing back in its bag, its currently 'airing' in the shed!
Has good head room for me and plenty of space for the kids to play in when need be. The side door has a mesh screen but the main front opening does not which is annoying but I knew that when I bought it. It has a fully sewn in ground sheet and good ventilation front and back.
It kept watertight during the major downpours on its maiden voyage, but water dripped in when the side door was opened. We also had a heater which caused a spot of condensation when it rained and that gathered along the top central velcro straps (for lighting hook up) and dripped down - thats a my issue and not a manufacture fault though.
I have also spoken to Coleman and asked what porch/canopy fits and they have replied that currently only their classic awning will fit; but reading the reviews on that, I wont be buying one as I want something that will stand up to wind and rain!
I paid £299 in Aug 2015 for this tent, new.

Just come back from trip using our Vespucci 6 tent
Were really pleased with our purchase the tent was easy to erect two lots of metal poles and two fiberglass lots of guy lines due to width of tent but guy lines no prob
Space inside was great just what we wanted the bedrooms are in 3 compartments so you put up one two or three choice is yours
The ventilation is good sewn in ground sheet throughout width fantastic for what we wanted not too heavy
Dark bedroom compartments that help keep light down for sleeping
Pegs bit poor no flyscreen on biggest door that's only two niggles great spacious tent

Manufacturer's Description
Quick and easy to pitch, the Vespucci range combines generous dimensions with full head height throughout for comfort and convenience on the campsite. The living room is large enough to house a dining table and chairs for 6 guests, while the integrated groundsheet and rainskirts keep the bad weather and bugs outside. Large, separate bedrooms easily fit double airbeds for greater privacy and comfort. Reflective guylines keep the risk of tripping to a minimum.
