2 Reviews of the Zeester Senior
By: Wif wijnmaalen Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2009 Rating:
The 'Zeester' is our finest 'de Waard' so far, we own a 'dwergstern'(also since 2009) and a 'Tureluur'(since 1985) as well, so we are used to the high quality of 'de Waard' tents. The 'Zeester' is easy erected by 1 person and very stable in bad weather, even the canopy will take some beating. With the inner tent comfortable and good to use outside summer-season.

By: Lentrott Reason: I've seen one Made in: 2008 Rating:
The Zeester has to be one of the coolest tents on the planet! Clearly based on the design of a classic bell tent, it has a single central pole from which the canvas hangs which is then pegged out to form a circular footprint. This design, combined with the fact that it is made from lightweight 160g/m2 cotton, makes the Zeester arguably the most practical tent in the De Waard range.
I had liked the look of the Zeester from the photo's on the internet, but saw one in the flesh on a recent visit to De Waard's store in Uden in the Netherlands. The quality is what you would expect from De Waard and despite it being classed as a 2 person tent, it is really very spacious inside and would easily accommodate 2 adults plus kit in complete comfort! The Zeester is a single skin tent as standard, but for extra insulation there is the option of an inner which has the added benefit of having a fleece lined floor!
The tent is a complete stunner (especially when used with the optional variable canopy) which I would describe as a contemporary take on a traditional bell tent! It is a premium product (with the cost nudging dangerously close to £1000 if you add all the options) but it is immensely practical, is a real head turner, and will last a lifetime! It's on my wishlist!

Manufacturer's Description
The Zeester is a lightweight cotton tent and can accommodate up to 2 people. Inner tent recommended for extra isolation and added comfort. Alternatively, this model is available in the traditional heavyweight cotton too. Great design and a joy to put up. The Varioluifel is optional.
