1 Reviews of the Brighton 5
By: MarshaCD Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2024 Rating:
Bought this tent mainly for the height and compact size. I already own a Kampa Air tent so I know the quality is great and although this is classed as a budget tent it ticks a lot of boxes. My first inner first pitch tent so it took a while to get it up correctly but after a few goes I've got the pitching time down and have even managed to pitch it alone. I haven't had this tent out in the rain yet but I'm sure it will handle it.
A few things to note:
The sewn in groundsheet sheet isn't a bathtub style. I made my own from a good quality tarp, mainly to keep the rain and wind out, and just tucked the groundsheet underneath the bedroom.
The windows have no curtains even though some websites state that they do. I bought some ripstock material and made my own.
The bedroom door zips downwards and toggles at the bottom. So lots of leaning over sleeping people to open the door
No fly mesh on the front or side doors
Only one hanging point and that is in the bedroom (we used string solar lights around the bedroom hooks)
For £119, this is a basic but high quality tent. I usually end up modifying my tents because I've never found the perfect one (always looking!) and after the few changes I've made, this tent is festival ready
