2 Reviews of the Daymer 6

Just got back from the Daymer 6's first proper outing, and this tent is just fine. The three of us stayed in a mix of rain, sunshine and breezes of varying degrees. The tent held up really well - no sign of leaks, stayed solid and in the mornings the SleepTite system does make a bit of a difference and helped to keep our 4 year old asleep until 7am.
In fact, the SleepTite system was also incredibly useful the only other time the tent has so far been used. Last year we pitched up on one of the hottest days of the year. The SleepTite system actually helped to keep the tent relatively cool (certainly when compared with other tents in our party) as well as relatively dark in the morning in the sleeping compartments.
The tent seems incredibly well made but it is not the easiest to put up - definitely needs 2 people perhaps mainly because the outer flysheet is relatively heavy (perhaps because it is quality). I would also have preferred to have a tent which can be put up with the outer flysheet first and then inner compartments afterwards in case of rain, but the Daymer requires that the inner must be put up first.
As is the case with most tents the manufacturers massively over-exaggerate the capacity. We use standard air beds and you can get two in each sleeping compartment, meaning maximum 4 occupants. If you are happy to squeeze more people in together then go for it, I'm sure that 6 people could have fun!
The two sleeping areas separated by the generous living area is also really nice and provides some privacy. The built in porch is also big as the previous reviewer has said. All in all a really good tent but not absolutely perfect in my eyes.

We used this for a family of four - and it has plenty of space, both in the bedrooms and living area.
The front porch is really spacious and heaps of room for cooking stuff as well as shoes etc. The porch also has huge windows which are really great for watching the world go by (in the rain!).
The tent seems to be very well made, and stayed dry and un-moved through a day of constant rain and wind. It was easy to pitch (very good instructions), but really needed two people as the legs need to be raised at the same time.
Excellent height throughout the tent - full-height even in the bedrooms. Bedrooms have lots of mesh pockets and hook for lamp. Living area has velcro tabs designed to hold ehu cables, but these can also be used to hang things on. Maybe would benefit from having mesh pockets in living area - but thats the only real criticism.

Manufacturer's Description
An ideal tent for a growing family. The bedrooms are separated by the large living area to provide maximum privacy. Both inner tents are capable of sleeping three people or can be used by two for extra comfort. The inner area benefits from our Sealed Groundsheet System and there is plenty of height throughout. At the entrance there is a large front porch through which you can access the main tent. This porch has plenty of windows, all with blinds, and its own groundsheet. The tent can also be accessed through the rear door. Due to its design, the Daymer 6 is quick to set up and once erected its wind cheating shape and hybrid pole system make it very stable. The Daymer 6 shares many of the high specification features found in our other Ultimate tents such as the SleepTite system and Daylight Panel.
