This was our very first usage of the Boston 600 tent and awning after using a small 2 bedroom tent, the tent itself is huge with loads of space, there are just the two of us so thats how we class it (we even tell the grand kids its only made for two and that seems to satisfy them although they were never away from our tent.
The awning was bought along with the Boston 600, footprint groundsheet and carpet and although we left it a bit late ordering it arrived on the Friday about 10.30am. We were scheduled to leave home at 1pm so a bit close timing and no time to practice erecting.
All turned out great (watched the easy camp video on how to erect during the week before delivery so had most of it in my head and low and behold e had it up and running with awning inside an hour,(Not bad for a first time)
During the first night the rain teemed down rather heavily but we were snug and dry all night, it was only in the morning we found a very small puddle at the side entry door as we had not folded up the side wall groundsheet (our fault but it was the first time out)
Looking at the photo's I have posted I have noticed that the back end is a little baggy due to the rear pole not being up in the upright position so next time I will pay extra attention. Getting back to the awning I can only say that it was fabulous loads of light and shelter and able to watch others on site sitting out on the wet morning grass. The weather picked up from there and over the bank holiday weekend Aug 2013) the sun came out and it was great. A great all round product, tent, awning and carpet, the whole lot.
We cant wait to get going again next year
