We bought this tent in May(2009) having looked at every alternative but kept coming back to this one for various reasons. We wanted a smaller tent than our wonderful Vango Amazon 800 to use just for shorter breaks due to being quicker to erect, can be taken down by one person (just about!)and can get on any site due to smaller size. Our first trip was in June with stunning weather, so no real challenges for the tent, however it did confirm the benefit of the tents best feature which is the ability to open all four large doors therefore having each complete side of the living area open for brilliant ventilation and cool shade when the heat on the beach became too great for the kids! Rather like just having a roof between the two sleeping compartments.
Most tunnel tents of this design have just two adjacent doors, fine if you just want a cosy shelter in our typical climate but as I am a fair weather camper I like the ability to fully open up the tent! Even in poor weather the four doors have large windows that let in plenty of light.
Only criticism I suppose is that.Actually.I can't think of any.A GREAT tent and well priced at fractionally over £200, light in weight as well, and YES it does actually fit back in the bag easily !

Adding further to the Licata range this new 800 version will comfortably sleep up to 8 people. The fully sewn-in groundsheet provides complete protection from draughts and dirt coming in making this a highly practical family tent. The 4 bedrooms can be changed around as necessary allowing a Master Bedroom to be created at one end with the kids in separate rooms at the other – peace and harmony all round! The large living area has good windows and there is plenty of ventilation all round. Still quick and easy to pitch all in one go this tent is ideal for families working to a budget but don’t want to compromise on quality.
