5 Reviews of the Buttermere 800

Simply the best, this tent is awesome. Spacious, easy to assemble and fairly lightweight, it stands up to all weather and makes you feel at home. Ample living area for up to 8 people with a generous living area in the middle. I will definitely replace this tent with the equivalent model when the time comes, it has served us so well. Brilliant!

The Tent has been replaced and is now call a Buckingham ELITE 8, the old tent was in two bags and this one is in one. There are extra features compared to the Buttermere but a great tent.
Big tent for the money, nothing else comes close for features and price

I spent ages looking at various tents as we had outgrown our Coleman canyon 6 (family of 2 adults and 3 kids). This tent had all the features I wanted (internal storage, bedrooms with ample space for king size airbed and luggage, sewn in groundsheet, big windows, darkened bedrooms), and oh my goodness I love this tent. Took 30 mins to get up and about the same to pack away. We spent 4 nights away, 2 of which were in tropical downpour conditions, and the tent was perfect. Loads of space even when confined to staying inside, loads of storage, high quality and well made. I can't praise it enough, and what a bargain (I bought from millets in the sale for £224).

Bought this tent from ebay as it had been used only once .Never camped since I was a kid and that was over 20 years ago . The tent is very easy to put up and is very spacious as it has 2 bedroom pods to put up if you wish . And again very easy to take down . Loads of room in it im very happy with my purchase

Used this at a pre-season test camp a few weeks ago.
Bought for £400 from Millets in Chester.
Huge living space & good specs and build quality - no accessories as yet (hence 9 out of 10) but its a pretty popular design so no doubt other tent accessories will fit perfectly.
All poles are the same, so pitching is very simple - Im fairly experienced at pitching and had this up and was enjoying a beer after 40 mins (all guys out and camping kit assembled!)
Very Good tent!
