2 Reviews of the Evora 6
By: Donna44 Reason: I own(ed) one Made in: 2012 Rating:
I have used the evora 6 with the porch a number of times in the last year. I'm very happy with it's size and dimensions. As always, I'm never sure that any 6 man tent would fit 6 men in it, certainly with blow up beds!.
However, as there are never more than 4 of us in it, that's not an issue. On two occasions, one of the tent poles has split but I have bought spares (Vango branded) and it's easy enough to repair if a little fiddly.
The tent has no leaks and this summer it survived the tail end of hurricane Bertha down in Cornwall. The porch is a must for wet weather as it's a chamber to keep all the wet stuff. I do wish the porch was sewn in too though, the wind buffers the sides inwards and the rain can get in through the 6 inches which is off the ground.
The only reason I would replace this tent is if it was completely worn out. As it is at the moment, apart from a little wear and tear, it looks like its got a good few camping miles in it yet. Very happy with gelert Evora.
Now, can anyone tell me if I can get a Evora 6 carpet anywhere as I can't find one online?

As I was returning to camping after many years I wanted a tent that was easy to erect and one where you pitch the fly sheet first. The tent easily sleeps 6 with loads of room. The groundsheet is sewn in so keeps out the drafts and bugs. Nice to have the sleeping areas at each and the family/dining area all in the middle. We also the added a porch to help if cooking in wet or windy weather. The porch is also essential for and wet weather gear. We have used this tent on many camping trips and it has never let us down in all types of weather. No leaks on any seems. The windows are very large on the tent and porch. A great buy in my opinion.
