Wanted a lightweight tent that packed down small to carry on my scooter for weekends away, and this fitted the bill perfectly.

Very easy to put up and take down, but definitely not a three man tent.

Very comfortable for two, with plenty of room.

Went for the red one as it's a lot darker inside as I always wake early due to sunlight in my other tents, and the Rocky 3 is great for staying in bed in the mornings.

We also bought this one because it had a roomy porch, and great for putting your gear in, and it's just about big enough for sitting in when the weather is bad.

For the price, a great tent for weekends away.

First time camper (well the last time was 25 years ago when my preparations involved more beer than food) with my 10 year old son. Bought it in the full knowledge that this was an experiment on our camping aptitude so budget ruled over comfort. Set out to be a lads weekend away from wife and daughter and very successful it was too.

Pitched the tent within 20 minutes of arrival despite gusting winds. First night was sleepless for me - far too anxious and I was cold as I left the front door on the fly net for the first few hours before zipping it properly closed. Could have done with a few more inches of leg room as well as the air bed I put in met the sloping walls a bit too high up. This meant my toes were brushing the tent walls in my sleeping bag all night.

Second night was much better as we pulled the outer a little further away from the inner to remove the condensation problem from the night before. It also rained cats and dogs and we were fine and dry inside. The wind blew and blew but our little tent stayed up. The porch area kept our shoes dry. Not very much room at all for clothes and stuff but we had the car so that wasn't a problem. 3 people would be very intimate - I was glad my son is only 5 foot and slim and we 'had words' over space intrusion.

Score is 8 out of 10 as it isn't a 3 person tent and the length would be insufficient for anyone over 6 foot tall. Won't stop us using it again though I think when the ladies join us I had better invest in a much larger facility.

Just right for 2, as always the 3 man thing is a bit of a stretch. Really easy to erect (no jokes that's the appropriate word to use) and fairly lightweight.

I've owned mine for a couple of years now and find it perfect to carry on a rucksack or in the boot of the car. I've use it in all weather conditions and as long as it's erected correctly i've never had any problems.

As mentioned in another review the porch area is ideal for storage or brewing up a cuppa when it's wet out but as also mentioned the angled door does mean you risk getting wet when entering or exiting especially in the morning when it's covered in dew.

For one man and his dog or wife or life partner this tent is ideal if you intend on bringing in someone extra though ya gonna need a bigger one.

I have rediscovered camping this year and researched heavily prior to tent purchase. I opted for the Rocky 3 as reviews were good and the price very good.

I've camped 5 times this year and have seen an array of weather. I feared for the tent one night due to incredibly strong winds but it was fine. I've experienced heavy rain and no leaks at all.

As with a lot of tents, the 3 man label is a little optimistic. I camp alone so I have luxury of space but there is no way it's a three man. The first time I used it, I had a double inflatable mattress, there was no spare room at all and it made is feel far too snug as you have to allow the height of the mattress and the sloping sides.

I found the porch area to be really useful for storage, however my only criticism would be the sloping door, to get out in the morning with the condensation or after rain means you can get a little wet.

Pitching is easy and not at all a chore. Overall, a fabulous tent at a great price!
