Not sure when this was made, as I have recently just acquired this tent after my partner decided to leave my best tent at Glastonbury (don't go there.)

Anyway, this tent is easy (ish) to put together once you have all the parts laid out (the instructions that are sewn into the bag are very basic, but once I had all the parts laid out infront of me, I could figure out what went where). This does seem like an old style type of tent with metal poles (most of the new ones I get are all fibreglass poles).

You construct the bedroom first using the fibre glass poles and what I would describe as a spider looking bit of metal, with the bigger part facing the front of the tent/bedroom.

You then construct the main porch part next - now this is the part where you could do with having a helping hand, but I managed to struggle on my own, balancing the front poles and the pole that links the bedroom to the front.

Once the frame is put together, place the outer skin over the whole frame/bedroom, putting the spike above the front door into the containing eyelet on the outer fabric. Peg down, tie up, velcro down and jobs a good un'

Returned from Silverstone having left the tent there after it collapsed in very high winds.

The inner pod was OK, plenty of space (for 2 of us)and reasonably stable.

I bought off Ebay and was not warned the metal frame was damaged. The instructions were not clear how the steel poles fitted together, unfortunately the stability was seriously compromised and the front porch buckled under the pressure of the wind and the junction bent. It was beyond repair.

Had the steel poles been intact I'm sure it would have been a different story and these two campers wouldn't have been searching for an alternative berth on the 2nd night.

I'm not sure when it was manufactured, hope somebody might correct me! Easy to pitch even for a female, on her own. We have had this tent new since 2010, we have stayed dry through torrential rain and high winds.

You put together the poles then place in a central 'spider' clip on the inner tent, peg down, connect the porch arm, throw the fly sheet over peg down guy ropes.Done.

It says 2 people 15-20 mins, I can manage on my own ( while husband settles the dog and son checks out the site!)in 25-30 mins, dismantling 10 mins max. Easy to dry in 2 steps hanging in the garage.

As our 1st ever tent a good buy.
