5 Reviews of the Stratus 3

I bought one of these in a sale (£40). I have used it several times but my daughters have used it many times. If they can put it up, it must be easy to do. A maximum of four of them have slept in it at one time and they have never got wet. Very good quality, easy to erect and you can sit up in it. Recommended.

I have used this tent on 3 camping trips now and am very pleased with it. Its very easy to put up and packs down into a nice size for easy storage. We sleep 2 adults and one child in ours (oh and 2 cocker spaniels) and we have plenty of room. We use a double and a single airbed and their is space either side to store things.

Only thing I would say is you cant really stand up in it very easily but other than that a great tent for a good price :0)

I brought this tent last year for 5 nights last October, just used it for two nights end of June. This tent is really good quality. Easy to erect and kept me and my boyfriend dry in heavy rain. I would recommend waterproofing the tent to prevent dew seeping through when tent is touched from inside. All in all, this tent is a great buy, very spacious. I probably wouldn't sleep three in the sleeping part though, although I was advised to buy a tent for one berth above what is needed. Lots of storage space. Would suggest taking a gazebo on your camping trip so you have somewhere to stand up and sit under when it is raining.

Ideal for the weekend away. Made to very high standards and can be pitched in next to no time. I have used this in heavy rain and wind and have had no problems with leaks.

I bought and used this tent (Gelert Status 3 tunnel tent) ten days ago, so what can I say, it is as the manufacturers description. A really excellent tent, this is my first Tunnel tent and I am completely sold on the concept. Putting The tent up is fast and easy I am well pleased with it.

Manufacturer's Description

A classic, easy-to-pitch, fantastic value 3-berth tunnel tent. It features three 11mm fibreglass pole sections to form a simple tunnel shape, a sizable sleeping compartment and a large 2.3 x 2.1 living/storage area. The living area also features two panel doorways which can be propped open to form sun canopies (2 steel king poles provided). There are also two windows to allow light in when the doors are closed. The tent is pitched flysheet first using the external full length pole sleeves and is aided by the pre-attached double guylines (Stan has always fancied a go at double gals) . Other internal features include a cable entry point, and a 'rising' fitted living area groundsheet. The flysheet is 190T fire retardant polyester with a PU coating and fully taped seams providing 2000mm of hydrostatic head protection. The living area and inner tent bedroom groundsheets are polyethylene.
