2 Reviews of the Vector 6

I loved the look of this tent but wanted slightly more space, so I bought the porch as well. The tent itself is OK, with some frankly annoying quality issues (of course it can't be my abilities in tent pitching) like incredibly tight pole guide points and receiving pins, or the inner sleeping compartment that doesn't fit sideways and ripped on first set up. Aside from this it is roomy, the sewn in groundsheet works, not too much condensation in the mornings and both side doors can be opened at the same time.
The porch was bought to keep 'stuff' in that was either off the ground to start with or didn't need to keep dry, so the 3' gap between wall and ground didn't really matter; Neither did the gaping hole between porch and tent walls. Because the porch is designed to fit tents that do not slope horizontally or vertically, you need to fudge how it sits against the tent to achieve the best fit. The same goes for fixing on the other side.
That said, this was the best value tent package on the market and these little annoyances some of the interesting parts of camping - making it work. We are just about to spend another 2 weeks in the highly civilised and sometimes very wet wilds of the Channel Islands with them so will see how the hydrostatic head stands up.
All in all I love this tent, but I wish slightly more time had been spent on the details.

Great tent, very roomy and easy to put up. Door zips can catch sometimes on material when opening and closing, and one of the poles has split on it's 3rd use, which is really disappointing. Aside from that self, hubby and two kids have enjoyed both rainy and hot weather and it has managed this well. Internal little pockets are really useful.
